#39!

A picture of the Rawcliff household to the side!

Enjoy!

It was probably close to sunset when we got to the huge household. There were several cars outside in the drive way, but Ken found a free space nearby. Wow, I guess there were a lot of people here. Thank God I let Ginny lend me these clothes and do my make up. Otherwise, I'd be embarrassed...

Ken turned off the engine and looked at me. I gulped and squeezed his hand. He gave me a reassuring smile and kissed my lips.

"You'll do fine..." He whispered and I bit my lip. "Relax. Let's go... They're waiting."

I nodded and we got out of the car. I don't know if he brought me clothing or what, but he walked to the trunk and took out my black with pink skulls suitcase. He held it by the handle and held my hand with his free one. Wow, he was strong. The suitcase was pretty big.. Danielle probably organized it with all my clothes in it. She knew me very well. Like a mother to her daughter.

I swallowed and held onto Ken's hand for dear life. Looking at the house didn't relax me at all. It was just huge. It was two stories tall and had huge glass windows. Two garages that seemed to be able to hold over four cars in there. The front yard was beautiful with a small fountain in front and a small path to the entryway. There was no front porch, but I bet the back must have one.

We walked to the front door and he rang the doorbell. I looked around and couldn't help but notice the beautiful sight. The house was located on the very top of a mountain. Not a really huge mountain where it snowed, but it was high enough to see the whole land of Ludwig and furthermore. It was beautiful...

It was the middle of November, so it was kind of chilly outside. Especially at these heights. Still, Ken seemed to radiate warmth to me because I was soon enveloped with warmth as he kissed my cheek.

Just then, the door opened revealing an old lady. She was short, had glasses, short black hair, and a bit overweight. Though, by the amount of gold and jewelry she had on her, I think she weighed more than what she did without them. She looked so high class... I probably looked like a simple towns girl wearing Ginny's light pink dress and white heels. They weren't that high either since I don't really use heels much. But they looked good... and were easy to walk on.

"Ken..." The lady said and stood straight. She looked at me and I felt like if she was excruciating me with her eyes. God, what is with this lady? "And who's this?"

Ken smiled but I kept my head down. I didn't like this lady. She looked too... authoritative. Bossy, to be exact. I knew that, for some reason, she didn't like me.

"Your granddaughter." Ken said and held my hand a little tighter. "This is Innocence."

The lady stared at me and then studied me with distaste. She sighed and rolled her eyes, totally uninterested. Well, how rude... To think she's my grandmother...

Ken was about to speak, but another voice called from inside the house. I tensed. I recognized that voice.

"Mom? Who's at the..." I recognized her too well... "..door..."

She looked at me and blinked. Then, she brushed back her light blonde hair and smiled. She was surprised but happy as well. I felt tears want to crawl out of my eyes but held them back. The makeup... I didn't want to look like an emo when I went in to meet my family.

"Innocence..?" She asked and I bit my lip. My heart was probably about to explode for how fast it was beating. Fuck.. I'm about to run out of this place. This is too much.
