Thirty Eight

The night before had meant everything to him now sat on his chain of keys was a key to her home with the most beautiful key chain.

He couldn't believe it, how lucky he was to have found a girl like her in such a corrupt world. He wished he had met her sooner considering they grew up in the same area. 

He walked into the house he and Mark shared with the biggest smile.

"You okay"Mark asked as he drank a coffee.

"Meredith gave me a key last night. Don't worry I am not moving out yet, its so I don't have to knock on the door and stuff. But Mark I think when Addie moves to her place which is in like 4 weeks that I will move in with her. I don't ever want to be without her again."Of course his face showed how happy he was and Mark could see it. 

"You two are perfect for each other Derek. She is everything you ever wanted. Derek if you move out I will buy your half of this place. I love it here. "Mark had enough money for it saved up. Derek smiled with a nod.

"It terrifies me Mark. I am so scared I will fuck it up with her, I am scared I will push her away and loose her. " He admitted.

"Look Derek, man you will always have a bed here for you. Always. You can keep a key, I will always be here and be your best friend. But you have found the love of your life. You can start the rest of your life Derek, marriage and kids" Mark's words forced a large smile to implant itself on Derek's face.

"I can't wait for those days, Mark she is everything to me. She is resting now she was in a little pain but we will get there. I can't ever imagine myself without her." It was true, she had changed every aspect of his life. He could see a future for himself with a family now , before all he could see was him alone with his four legged companion.

Three weeks later.

It was like nothing he had ever imagined, going home to her after a light night at work made each day of his better. Being able to crawl into bed and kiss her head after a difficult case, being able to cook her dinner when she felt poorly, being able to shower with her and hold her close each day, he never thought he could have a connection so strong. 

The day had come a week earlier than expected, Addison's newly built home was ready, furnished and the groceries were all in. Meredith had done a few trips with her especially around the home store picking up things for her new home.

Addison was out with Amelia doing last minute wine shopping before going back to Meredith's for one last night. Mark and Amelia were both coming around for the occasion. 

Meredith was in the bedroom changing the bedsheets, she didn't have pain as much as she used too, only an odd moment here and there. Her scars were healing nicely, she was mananging flashbacks and memories by talking to Derek and a qualified therapist.

He was her rock, she would be lost without him. If he hadn't been for him she wasn't sure she would have survived it all, the night terrors, the anxiety attacks, the day sweats, he had been there through it all, holding her hand and pulling her through.

"Hello gorgeous"He whispered into her ear as he wrapped his arms around her from behind.  

"Derek, I need to talk to you"She replied gently.

"Of course baby, what is it"He asked as he spun her around, sat on the bed and pulled her down onto his lap.

"Addison leaves tomorrow and the last three weeks you have been here every day every night except from one night. It wasn't planned that way but it's how it happened. Derek I don't ever want to go a night without you in my bed. I was wondering if...if you wanted to make this permanent and actually move in with me. Bring all of your stuff, all of Ruby's stuff and be here with me..make this our home"Derek didn't respond at first, instead he pulled her head down to his, placing his lips over hers. 

Their kiss was deep and full of passion, he held her close to him as she lightly began to rock against him. Derek pulled back for a brief second.

"I want you..its been too long Der"She pleaded. He contemplated for a moment but it had been so long he knew they would both finish quickly. In a swift movement his t shirt was laying on the floor followed by her tank top. She tried to cover the scar left by the bullets but Derek stopped her.

"You are perfect, don't ever cover up okay, not from me baby" He helped her off his lap so she could remove her shorts and he could take off his jeans and boxers. "No panties under those thin little shorts, you naughty girl"Derek joked. His chuckle replaced with a groan as he felt her bare skin against his.

There was no need for foreplay, they needed each other, they craved each other. Derek placed light kisses along the still red scar as she sunk down onto him. Her warmth fills each need within his body. 

One hand rested on her hip and the other on her ass, lightly slapping and grabbing it. Her soft moans drove him insane as he moved upon him. Needing more he began thrusting upwards to meet the movements she made. 

He took one nipple in his mouth as he held her close to his body, her sweet perfume filling his nostrils.

"I missed you"She purred into his ear as he took over, her eyes began to roll and her moans became louder.

"I missed you baby, I love you"He could feel by the way her walls clenched around him that her climax was near. He reached between them and used his thumb to rub the sensitive bud between her legs.

Her mouth created the perfect 'o' as she called his name and met her climax, feeling her juiced around him he found his own, holding her down on him as he filled her with his own climax. Sweaty and panting she kisssed his lips.

"Is that a yes handsome?"She giggled.

"Of course its a yes my love that pink fluffy cushion is going"He demanded with a light tone. Meredith agreed. 

They showered together which included a steamy make out session , Derek dressed back into fresh jeans and his favourite grey quarter zip polo shirt. He left Meredith alone in the room that he could now call theirs. 

He set out snacks on the tables as well as drinks. Ruby barked at him as if to say she knew what he had just done. Poppy meowed from the counter making him laugh.

"Yeah, I am staying"He stroked her head "We are staying girl"He did the same to Ruby. He and Mark were already in the process of having Mark buy Derek's half of the house.

"You look lost, are you okay?"Meredith asked gently as she walked into the living area.

"You look beautiful baby, you always look beautiful but you haven't dressed out of sweats and pjs for weeks"Derek chucked. He looked down on her with a dark hunger in his eyes. 

She had straightened her hair, applied light make up and was wearing tight black jeans with a square neck, long sleeved ditsy floral body suit. 

"I feel more like myself, I feel happier than I have ever ever been before. Its all thanks to you Derek. You make my life brighter. "She booped his nose as the three walked in. 

"Aww Mer you look stunning"Addison spoke straight away embracing her best friend. "I can't believe this is my last night here, I will miss you so much" She pouted.  "Oh Mer look at this, this is the kitten I am getting. I have booked two weeks away from work. Look at her little face"She showed Meredith the tortoise shell furred maine coone kitten. 

"Oww look at her. Who is this one next to her"Meredith pointed at the black and white beside her.

"Her brother , he is gorgeous he really is but Cookie is what i wanted" Addison smiled. "I can message the woman for you?"Addison asked. Meredith turned to look at Derek.

"Pleasseee can we get him, pllleasseee"She pleaded. Derek placed his hands on her hips.

"If you do the poop scooping then yes" He bargained. Meredith held her hand out to shake his.

"Wait...am I missing something" Amelia smiled.

"I...Derek is moving in....I don't want to live without him"She beamed up at him. 

" A toast to the happy couple" Every one held up their glasses, toasting to the couple and to Addison.
