Angelo's POV

"Boss, we delivered the last one and are heading over to make the final arrangements" One of my men told me.

A small sigh came from me as I stretched, soon standing from my seat, "Good. I'll be heading out for today if that's the case, call me if something happens" I told him before taking my leave.

After getting in my car, I was about to head home but remembered the cafe Nina was telling me about the other day. It only took me about ten minutes to get there, and they weren't that packed.

"Hello sir, is this your first time here?" The lady behind the counter asked, another worker soon coming from the back.

"Yes it is. I wanted to get something for my girlfriend" I explained, feelings my face heat up from the big smile on their faces.

Maybe I shouldn't have said that last part.

"That's so cute! I would recommend these cookies. I'm sure she'll love them, many of our customers order these before anything else" She told me.

"Or you could try these cheesecake brownies. They're also one of our best selling desserts" The other worker said.

Both did look delicious, I couldn't help but wonder what the recipes were. "Alright, I'll just get both" I stated, the two seeming shocked.

"Alright. Since it's your first time, I'll give you one of our cards. Every time you get something from us, it will add up points that can lead up to you getting anything without paying" The lady replied back before they began packing the deserts. I was about to hand them my card to pay when I head the sound of a bell.

"Ah, hello Bryson! It's good to see you again. The usual?" The other worker asked.

After paying, I turned and saw that it was him. The guy from the other day. "Yes, I'll take the usual" He replied back before looking at me in shock. If I wasn't in a rush to see Nina, I'd have a little chat with him.

"Thank you" I said to the lady before taking the bag, turning to leave.

Just as I walked past him, he stopped me. "What did you do to her?" He asked me.

"What?"

He rolled his eyes at my response, "Don't try to play dumb. What did you do to make Nina date you? Threaten her? Or did you threaten her family? There's no way she'd go for some white boy-" He began before I grabbed ahold of his shirt with my other hand.

Luckily, there wasn't any other customers.

I couldn't help but laugh at how scared he looked, "Did you really just try to bring my race into the situation? I was going to let you be, but you're starting to piss me off boy. Nina is with me because she wants to be.

She doesn't want your little bitch ass, so don't let me catch you around her again. You don't want to know what will happen if I find out you're trying to get in contact with her. Understood?" I asked before letting go of his shirt, watching as he slowly nodded his head.

I then took my leave and headed towards my car, placing the bag in the passenger seat. I sighed before starting the car, now heading to the company to see Nina.
