Chapter 2: The Beach House Reunion

The familiar scent of saltwater and sunscreen filled the air as Belly stepped out of her car. She was back at the beach house, the place that held countless memories of summers past. This year was different, though. This summer, everything would change.

Inside, Belly found Jeremiah in the kitchen, working on breakfast. His warm smile greeted her. "Hey, Belly! You're here early."

She smiled back, feeling grateful for Jeremiah's friendship. He had been a constant presence in her life, her best friend since childhood. "Wouldn't miss it for the world."

As they enjoyed breakfast together, Conrad walked into the room. His presence sent a shiver down Belly's spine. She couldn't deny the chemistry that had always existed between them, even if Conrad had been distant lately.

"Morning," Conrad mumbled, his eyes lingering on Belly for a moment before he took a seat.

Jeremiah noticed the tension and tried to lighten the mood. "So, what's on the agenda today?"
