Chapter 12: An Unexpected Connection

Jeremiah had never been particularly fond of weddings. The whole affair of dressing up, pretending to be thrilled for the happy couple, and dancing to songs he'd rather not hear - it had never been his scene. But when his dear friends Belly and Conrad had invited him to their wedding, he couldn't say no. They had been a part of his life for years, and he couldn't miss their special day.

Dressed in a well-fitted suit and tie, Jeremiah found himself at the wedding venue. He watched as Belly and Conrad exchanged their vows beneath a canopy of oak trees, their love radiating like a warm, summer sun. Jeremiah chuckled. "All good things, I hope."

Sophia's laughter was like music. "Only the best things. They adore you."
