The trio spent the day at the beach, just like old times. Belly couldn't help but notice how Conrad watched her from afar while pretending not to. Jeremiah, on the other hand, was his usual friendly self, making her laugh and feel comfortable.

As the sun began to set, they built a bonfire. Belly and Conrad found themselves sitting side by side, watching the flames dance.

"You've been distant," Belly finally said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Conrad sighed, his gaze locked on the fire. "I know, Belly. It's just... things have been complicated."

Jeremiah, sensing the tension, joined them. "You guys are like my family. I hate seeing you at odds."

Conrad glanced at Belly, a hint of regret in his eyes. "Maybe we should talk later."
