As the night deepened, they sat in silence, the weight of their past regrets heavy on their shoulders. The lighthouse's beacon remained dark, its light extinguished long ago.

Conrad finally spoke, his voice laced with sorrow. "I wish we could go back and change everything, Belly. I wish we had been brave enough to share our feelings, to explore what could have been."
