Valerian's pov

My weekend was spent mostly in my room and sitting on the stairs. When hungry I went down and got something to eat. It was never around the same time my brothers had dinner or lunch. I know I should be trying to bond with them but I was afraid to. I would sit on the stairs when my brothers were in the dining room eating. To listen to them from afar. Getting to know them without them getting to know me.

My dad, papà and I call everyday. They found a place and have been moving into it. My cars were already here in the garage they bought me. Damien texted me saying they were all moved in and sent the address they were at. I rushed out of my room. The living room was full of all of my brothers and a few of their friends. Causing me to dodge them all as I ran towards the door.

"What's the rush?" Aurelio asked. Aurelio stepped in front of me causing me to skid to a stop. I fall onto my butt and stop an inch away from him.

"Come on!" I groan before jumping up. I give him a smile.

"What is going on? We don't see you all weekend and when we do you're running out of here like the house is on fire," Aurelio states.

"Oh, I don't like people. Which includes you guys. I gotta go now," I say, stepping around him. Aurelio caught my arm to keep me from leaving.

"One of the rules we have here is if you're leaving you let someone know where you're going if something happens," Aurelio says. My other brothers nod. Valerico and Valentino make a face showing how much they dislike the rule.

"Oh, um I am going..." Do I tell them the truth?

"Well?" Nazario asked from the couch.

"I'm going to my dads, bye," I say, ripping my arm from Aurelio's hand and running out of the house. I start my car and pull out of the driveway before they could stop me. I see them all standing on the porch looking confused.

When I arrived at my dads' it was a simple one story house. It was cute. I go inside. They were on the couch causing me to rush over to them and throw myself on them. They laugh while hugging me tightly.

"I missed you guys," I mutter.

"We missed you too, kid," Kolton says.

"So, how is your new home?" Damien asked. Even though we called daily we never talked about my new home or my brothers.

"It's nice. My brothers are rich-rich. They live in a mansion. We got everything there. An indoor pool for winter and an outdoor pool. Rich people are crazy," I say while shaking my head. Damien chuckles. "I haven't really gotten to know them. All I know is their names and three of their ages. I am a triplet. Can you believe that? Two of my brothers have been with me since we were born until I was taken away from them. I don't even know why my mother took me only to abandon me my whole life. She could have left by herself," I say. I let out a sigh. "I'm fine with how life worked out for me. I know it sounds bad but I wouldn't have met you both if I wasn't taken from my bio family." Damien and Kolton give each other a look. What was that about?

"It wouldn't hurt to get to know them. It wasn't their choice to be apart from your life. What about your dad?" Damien asked. I furrowed my eyebrows.

"What do you mean he's right here," I say poking Kolton. Damien's face softens.

"You're biological dad, V," Damien says.

"Oh, Aurelio says he died a few years ago. When I was around them they never talked about him. So I don't know what he was like," I responded.

"How about we go out and do something. I'm sure you start school tomorrow," Kolton says.

"Yes, let's go!" I shout jumping up.

"Are you going to ride with us?" Damien asked. I nod my head.

We went to the mall. We decided on a little shopping spree. They were going to get a few things for their new house. I wanted new clothes for school. Kolton went to the bathroom as Damien and I went to the food court. We settled on a slice of pizza for lunch. We ordered our pizza and Kolton's. I grab the drinks and my pizza. Damien grabbed his and Kolton's pizza. We take a seat. I set the drinks down carefully before sitting. I take a drink of my juice. As I eat my pizza I look around at the people walking around. My eyes land on Matteo.

"There is one of my brothers," I say, causing Damien to look. His eyes stopped on the boy who looked like me. "His name is Matteo. I think he is 18. He's still in school. He's a senior like Valerico and Valentino. I don't know why they are in the same grade but I'm sure I will find out later."

"Are all of you so adorable?" Damien asked. I smile at him.

"The boys look almost the same. They just have different hair and eye colors. It's almost freaky," I state. Damien chuckles while looking at me. I glance at Matteo. His eyes find mine a second later. His eyebrows furrowed before he gave me a nod. He walked away with his friend. I told them I was going to my dads'. He must have thought I lied. I'll deal with that later if I get into trouble. Kolton takes a seat next to Damien where his food was sitting.

"Are you going home after this?" Kolton asked.

"I was going to switch my cars then go home. If I am starting school tomorrow I want to get enough sleep and make sure I have everything around."

"Alright, make sure you tell us how the school day goes," Damien says. I nod my head.

"Of course. Who else would I tell?" I asked.

"Trey?" Kolton asked. I shook my head.

"He's being a baby and refusing to answer my texts because our last prank I got out of and he didn't. It's not my fault I got pulled from school and moved an hour away," I huff.

"What is your reason behind not getting to know your brothers?" Damien asked. I scratch my eyebrow.

"I bowed at them the other day. It was embarrassing. I don't want to talk about it if they decide to ask about it. I don't want to tell them how living with our mother was. I've seen the pictures when everyone was younger. We all looked happy. Their mother was present in their lives until she left. I guess I don't want their image of her to change," I shrug. My dads nod their heads.

"Their image of her will change and it's for the best, V. Instead of having them think you had this wonderful life with your mother she was never there and when she was she was abusive and treated you as if you were a servant. She is not the woman they knew. People change, kid. Sadly some don't change for the better." Kolton says. I frown and nod my head.

"I know, Dad," I mumble.
