Two young gentlemen were having a race on their horses to know who's the fastest.
They were having fun and a good time while forgetting their duties due to their rank.
They grew up together like brothers even though their parents didn't see their relationship from the same eye. They wanted them to be more present to find a wife and start a family.
They weren't quite ready for that except flirting with ladies, it was one of their favorite hobbies. In fact they were quite excellent in this domain because they were both extremely beautiful and every young lady wanted to catch, at least, a sight from them.
Those gentlemen knew how they made the ladies feel and loved playing with it.
They loved going to parties and made all the ladies jealous and offended the gentlemen by only dancing together to the balls. They were smirking all along because they knew that all eyes were on them and that they were insulted by those even though no one said a word about that.
During one of those balls a gentleman, who basically wanted to give his daughter's hand to the eldest of the two gentlemen, asked him to duel him for the honor of his family. The youngest didn't want his best friend to accept and tried to force him to renounce this duel but he didn't listen and accepted the duel without an ounce of fear in his eye. He knew that he lost the opportunity to love a sweet woman as the daughter of this man but he knew that he disrespected him by showing himself like this in public with his best friend.
The day of the duel, they both arrived in the forest in which they gave the meeting. He apologized to who he could have called father-in-law but he didn't accept those excuses from a monster like him. Then the battle began, the first who shot the other won.
One. Just breathe. Two. It's like a waltz. Three. Too late, I die as I lived.
