Author's note: Another thing for my smg4 vampire au. Once again, this takes place before the story.

Also, trigger warning for animal death.

Edit: I didn't realize the mobile version had made it all one big text. That's fixed now. Sorry about that.

‐--------------------------------------------------
Three and Terrance were carrying a big piece of plywood.

You see, the old house Three had found to live in was run down. He never really had any reason to fix it. It wasn't like anyone was going to visit.

But now that Terrance has decided to stay, the broken, run-down house was a hazard for the werewolf.

The two supernatural beings placed down the pieces of wood.

"Alright, that should be the last of them." Three said, wiping his hands. "I'll be right back, Terrance. I'm going hunting."

Terrance gave Three a thumbs up.

Three turned into a bat and was off into the forest.

It didn't take long for Three to find something.

A deer, the poor thing looked sickly. Three was probably doing it a favor by putting it out of its misery.

As he was about to leap, a blur attacked the deer.

"What the fuck!?" Three yelled without thinking.

The blur reveled to be another vampire. She looked up with blood in her mouth. "Who's there?" She hissed, ready to fight.

The other vampire had dark magenta curly hair, piercing orange-yellow eyes, a heart tattoo underneath her left eye, a dark blue hoodie, black shorts, and black combat boots.
Three knew exactly what vampire she was, a wanderer. Someone who doesn't have a pod or group of their own.

Three walked out of the bushes, putting his hands up.

The mysterious vampire didn't relax. "Great, just what I need, look bub. I've been hunting this deer since midnight. I earned fair and square. If you have a problem with that... well. Let's just say you'll regret not bringing your podmates." She growled.

Ah, that explains why the deer looked so sickly.

"I'm not hear to steal your food. I just wanna know, what's a vampire like you doing all the way out here?"

The mysterious vampire rolled her eyes. "I could say the same thing about you. Aren't your podmates worried about you?"

Three looked away in shame. "I don't really have any podmates. Just like you, I'm a wanderer."

The mysterious vampire narrowed her eyes. "Wait, are this vampire I've been hearing about? The one who went rouge from one of the biggest pods in Siclica city? Three? That was the name, right?"

Three huffed. "First of all. I didn't go 'rouge.' I just... didn't felt like I fit in with the other vampires."

The mysterious vampire crossed her arms. "Ok, well then..." She looked away, wanting to say something, but she couldn't find the words.

Three looked at the condition this mysterious vampire was in. Her clothes were bloody and dirty, her hair was a tangled mess, and it looked like she hadn't had a good day's sleep in ages.

Three felt bad for her. It seemed like she was a victim of his past podmates.

"Uh, hey. Being a vampire alone sucks and well, my house isn't too far from here?" Three began.

"House?" The mysterious vampire interrupted him. "Like a real house and not just a cave?" Her eyes lit up.

Three nodded. "Yeah, I'm fixing the place up with my buddy Terrance."

The mysterious vampire tilted her head. "Wait, I thought you were alone?"

Three flinched. "Ah, well... I'm the only vampire, Terrance is a werewolf."

The mysterious vampire nodded her head. "That makes a lot more sense."

Three stuck out his hand to the mysterious vampire. "Well, how rude of me to almost forget to ask you for your name."

The mysterious vampire grabbed Three's hand. "The name's Desti."

-------------------------------------

It took some time for everyone to adjust living together, especially Desti, who was living in a cave for the most of undead life.

There wasn't a lot of stuff for her to bring in, just a few different pairs of clothes and some old roller skates.

What also took some time to getting used to was Terrance. Since the man didn't speak and Desti didn't understand sign language, it was hard for them to connect to each other.
Luckily, Three was always happy to help translate and even began teaching Desti sign language.
Terrance also found a way to communicate besides sign language. Using the text to speech app on his phone, he could talk in that way.

The three of them got along just fine.

To Three, it felt like he had a family again.
