Peyton's POV

"Peyton, cousin." Michelle, who used to be my personal guard, greeted Soren and me as we practically jumped out of the car.

"Michelle, where's my dad?" I asked her before she crushed me in a viper grip hug.

"God, I never realized how weird it would be not watching your back, twenty four seven. I missed you!" Michelle smiled, looking me over up and down. "What's that?" She said pointing at my neck. My hand automatically covered the spot on my neck. I looked at Soren and saw the cocky smile on his face.

Michelle leaned forward trying to get a better view, but I stepped back.

This was totally awkward.

"Let's find your Alpha," Soren stepped between us, blocking her view from me. He then wrapped his arm around my waist and urged me forward, though the smirk on his face remained, irking me to no end.

Michelle nodded at him in respect as a wolf would to her superior. "This way then" She led from the front. We followed Michelle inside the house, but Soren's sly grin continued to bug me.

"What is it," I whispered, poking his rib with a finger.

He leveled his mouth close to my ear and said, "My mark is beautiful on your neck." I pulled back and saw his bemused expression.

That's so embarrassing! Everyone will know we're fully mated! Well, it's common sense for newlyweds but still, we are meeting our parents today.

URG...

"Why don't you have a mark on you?" I complained silently.

"I'm a guy; we don't need to show others we're claimed, because once we mark our mates its forever. Signed, sealed, delivered." He teased.

"That's not fair." I pouted.

"I think you looked much more beautiful with my mark."

I smiled. Michelle was either oblivious to what was happening or she was pretending to not be listening. "What does it look like?"

Soren smiled, biting down his lower lip, "It looks like some old man pushed his dentures on it."

"WHAT" I screamed, making Michelle jump back and search for danger. Soren burst into a fit of laughter and clasped into my shoulder. I clamped my hand over my face and felt like strangling my husband. "I'm sorry; Soren is acting like an idiot." I told Michelle, who sighed and smiled at us, then continued walking.

"It's a slight bite mark, but it will fade after a few months, don't worry." Soren assured me.

I put my hand on it again, but this time Soren stopped me. "Wear it proudly, it would make me happy."

I saw the sincerity in his eyes and nodded endearingly. "Alright, if it makes you so happy"

"Thanks babe," He kissed the top of my head.

Suddenly a crash averted our attention. Michelle had led us to dad's office and when she opened the double doors we so pure chaos.

Sam was trying to rip Corey's head off, while Ash was pulling Sam's hair by the root to get her off him. Everyone else was preoccupied with trying to get the two alphas off each other from the floor. Soren's mom was punching Alpha Jeremy's back and screaming for him to get off my dad. My mom was threatening dad for divorce if he continued to act like an idiot, but dad knew her threats were empty.
