Peyton's POV

(Wedding dress pic. ==>)

"Hold still."

I roll my eyes as I hold my breath and tuck my stomach in to accommodate the thin shiny sequin dress.

"Mom, everyone's eyes will burn from staring at me too long."

I take a fist full of the thick padded cloth and hold it under the florescent light to show her how the gown made me feel like a freaking white disco ball.

"Okay fine, I get your point, but deal with me here. Soren allowed me this much, for your wedding, and I'm not going to let this mother-daughter moment get ruined cause we couldn't pick out the right dress!"

Something that looked like white satin, flung over her shoulder.

She better not better not tear up this 5,000 designer wedding gown! HoweverI am not paying for it and she had volunteered to do so.

I sighed, "Mom, I have to like the dress too, if you want to consider this a mother-daughter moment. I'll be the one walking with hundreds of eyes staring at me not you."

"You like this dress?!" She practically screams, looking at my face from the reflection on the massive mirror.

"I feel like a penguin. I'm not going to be able to walk down the aisle, or make it three steps into the ceremony if I'm going to wear this!"

We were in the bridal dress store at the Redwood pack territory, the same place Alex was picking her bridal maids dress today. Unlike her, she wasn't forcefully squeezed into a dozen old-fashioned outfits, because knowing our mother; she had already picked and paid for her dress beforehand.

Mom groans. "We've already tried like a gazillion!"

She throws her hands to the air and reaches to unzip my back zipper.

"Wow, easy mom! Besides destroying the dress, you might catch my skin in the zipper!" I push her hands away, reaching back to do it myself.

"Sorry, I was trying to hurry up." She clasps her hands together as if afraid to touch me.

"Need help in there?" Soren's voice yells from the outside of the fitting room.

"NO" Both my mom and I reply in unison.

"The groom is not allowed to see the dress before the wedding!" Mom says.

I chuckle after hearing Soren and Luca groan.

Luca ended up coming along because Alex and all of her brides maids had needed a ride here, thus his hummer was efficient for the large capacity of people.

Soren drove me, with my mother who had at the back seat of the Jaguar, complaining about changing the radio station. We listened to the Beatles and Soren looked like he'd drop dead the next time he'd hear "Let it be" played over and over again.

 "Hey mom, Peyton."

We recognized Alex come in before she even addressed us, because her heels made fluid clunk noises on the hardwood, like a smooth vibrato.

"Did you finish?" I asked sulking.

She nodded, eyeing the rows of gowns I've already tied on hanging on the rack.
