Y/N POV:
I awoke quickly when the wonderful smell of my favorite food met my nose. I went to pull myself up when a retching pain shot through my body, along with a thump.
I fell back down on the comfy bed. Did I sleep weird or something? Wait… I took in the area as well as I could.
My bed is comfortable but not this soft. I'm propped up quite high, I never sleep with this many pillows. I moved my hand towards my face to feel bandages? I felt down towards my stomach to find a damp rag that must've caused the thump before.
Where am I? What's going on? I listened carefully for any breathing to hear a soft snore.
"Hello?" I said quietly.
I waited patiently for a reply but none came. I suppose they're asleep. I was starting to lay back down when I heard the door creak open.
I straightened up attentively, listening in before feeling a warm embrace.
"Good morning, mi hijo. I'm so glad you're awake!" Pa celebrated quietly.
"Yeah," I nervously giggled out, "so what's going on? And who else is in here?"
"Let's not worry about that, what matters is that my son is finally awake!" Pa finally pulled back out of the hug before patting the bed beside me.
"And don't hold it against Camilo for snoring," he let out a thunderous laugh, "poor kid hasn't left that chair since you ended up here. Though, if I didn't have to make sure you had everything you needed then I would've done the same." Pa ruffled my hair then took the rag from me.
"I'll go put some cold water on this, you sit tight now!"
Pa's footsteps strayed further and further from me while Camilo's quiet snores continued on. I hope everything is alright.
I pressed my body back to the pillows and let the murmur of snores soothe me to sleep.
