59: Secret Meeting

"This would be a whole lot easier if our parents were here.. And your siblings." Thanatos says to Milo who nods.
We were circled around the table in the parlour which had been turned into a sort of war room. Battle plans and theories, Diagrams and solutions laying on the floor.
"How does your dad feel about you being behind enemy lines?" Alpheus asked Electra.
"I could care less." She says I was reminded about how Ares would hit Nico and probably more of his children. I gritted my teeth hoping I could at least punch him in this war.
"All these plans are awesome and I'm glad we're working with the theory of this alliance.. but what about him?" Alcaeus asks and points towards the ceiling.
"Silas?" Thanatos asks Alcaeus nodded
"We'll leave that for dad to deal with." Alpheus says
"Do you think he'd side with Zeus?" Atlas asks
"Zeus would kill him. That's the whole point of the war, Atlas." Alcaeus says rolling his eyes his head tilting to one side as he has an annoyed look on his face.
"Not all of us right? He has two.. He'd probably leave Hades and Poseidon with two. A painful reminder that they failed to rescue the rest." Atlas says. Alcaeus' eyes flick around the room holding his head up-right one more considering this.
"You'd think he'd leave Silas alive?" I asked
"He'd probably leave Albus then too." Niklaus said
"Why?" Albus asks
"Because, you've had a rocky relationship with dad. That's fact." Nik explains
"Which ones would he leave Poseidon?" Atlas wonders
"None that you guys would have met. There's a few older ones that are always bickering with him." Milo says
"Do you think he'd go after the gods that would help us?" I asked
"The other gods wouldn't get involved in the fighting unless it came down to the last straw. For example if we all get killed during battle and it's left god against god, that's when the others will step in." Thanatos says.
"But the battles won't end. The gods are immortals." Atlas says
"They'll probably fight until an agreement is reached." Thalia says
"That could last years.." Luna says
"It could also cause a lot of issues even to the mortal world." Albus says
"So, our goal above everything else has to be not to die?" Electra says
"Seems that way." Milo says
"Should we talk to Silas? See if he'll fight with us?" I asked
"We can't be a team if he's trying to kill us all." Alpheus says
"We'll just leave that for Dad." Thanatos says
"Whenever he decides to come back." Alpheus mutters
"Where will the battle take place?" I asked out of curiosity.
"Well, What's keeping Zeus from attacking right now is the borders of the Underworld. He's planning on down here." Milo says
"I think we should go somewhere else. The Underworld could get damaged." I said
"It's nothing we can't fix." Niklaus says
"Are you sure? It might damage the holding on the dead. The dead might go back to the world of the living. It will be like a zombie apocalypse." I said
"Good point." Milo says
"Would Hades fight underwater though?" Atlas asks
"I have no idea."
"We could fight in between. The surface world." I said
"That way, both of our strengths are available. We still have the Underworld below us feeding us power and we could pick somewhere near the ocean to feed them." I said gesturing to Milo.
"And that puts us right smack-dab under Zeus' domain. The sky." Alpheus says
"Either way has pros and cons. I still think land fighting is a better way." I said
"He has a point. I agree." Milo says
"Me too." Electra says Alpheus looks at her and then shakes his head.
"If we choose the right location and time.. You may be right." Alcaeus says
"We can go scouting for locations." I said Alcaeus nods
"And get ourselves killed? No." Thanatos says firmly.
"It may be our only chance not to get screwed when the battle starts." I said
"And its more than likely you'll get killed before the battle starts." Thanatos says in full big brother mode. I sigh and look down at the table. My eyes trail up to hands that I quickly realize are Alcaeus'. He's tapping morse code. Not tapping on the table but lightly poking it. I understand it immediately. How? I have no idea. His message is simple: Look up. I look up and meet his eyes. He always looked like he hadn't gotten enough sleep. He jutted his chin towards the door slightly. I nodded my head in the slightest way. Alcaeus rises from his seat. He mumbles something like checking Silas' bindings and walks out. I wake a moment before I get up. All eyes are on me unlike Alcaeus.
"Where are you going?" Thanatos beats Milo to the question.
"I gotta pee. Just trying to be inconspicuous." I said and am released. I walk out of the parlor and begin down the hall.
"Alcaeus?" I whisper
My arm is snatched and I'm pulled into a room.
The door closes and a light switch is flicked, Alcaeus stands before me. I put my hand over my heart.
"Holy shit, Alcaeus. You surprised me." I said
"So, do you still want to go scouting?" He asked
"It's our best chance." I said he nodded
"Ready to go behind Niklaus and Thanatos' backs. They won't like it." He said
"Well, tough shit." I said he smirked slightly.
"We leave tonight. Make sure that girl who's been sharing your bed doesn't notice." He said my brows go up.
"Annalise?" I said
"Whatever her name is. Just make sure she doesn't notice." I nodded
"Alright. She won't notice. Where do we meet?" I asked
"There's a secret entrance in the library. It comes out near Ambrosia. We can sneak through camp and into the woods. Be there at one o'clock." He said my heart started to beat faster at the thought of returning to Ambrosia.
"We're going back?" I asked
"Not for long, just taking a short cut through it." He says I nodded curtly.
"Go. I'm going to actually go check on Silas." He said I nodded we walked out of the room and split up. I returned to parlor and took my seat thinking about tonight. It would be the first time I'd left the Underworld in a long time...
