the friends that you have keep em close to your heart
everyone laughs but not from their hearts
there are good people too, but they're far apart
and that's why the world's mostly gloomy and dark

you're the light of the world, but you hole up and sob
and keep to yourself while your thoughts eat you up
it's not that you won't, it's just that you can't
these people they pressure you to shut up your mouth

you can't speak the truth cause they'll think it's trash
the more that you see, the less that you care
they call you a clown well don't get upset, cause these people laugh to cover their fears

they clowning the truth and praising the lies
they blame it on you, they blame it on them, but never will you see them blaming themselves
you ask for the truth and nobody cares
I guess that's the world that we live in these days

everyone wants something but cannot repay
it's easier to take than it is to give

"I want a new face"
"I want a new name"
"I want a new gender"
"I want a new race"
"I want equality" but not equally
it's not about wants it's all about needs
when you gon stop and then see what you need
and I hope for your sake it isn't too late
