"i'm glad you have a feeling." i mocked as i made air quotes.

"and she fights back. i love it." tyler smiled as he began to walk away.

the school wasn't as huge as i thought it was going to be, which translated to i don't think i'm going to get lost.

"that's about it princess." tyler spoke with a smile.

"don't call me that." i shot at him as i walked away.

"you need to go to physics right?" tyler spoke loudly enough for me to hear.

"yeah." i replied stiffly.

"well, you're going to wrong way. i need to go as well, i can show you the way." he offered as he pointed behind him.

i nodded stiffly and walked back in his direction.

"what the fuck!" i heard a shrilly voice speak from behind me.

i heard tyler groan next to me.

"do you need something?" i asked as i turned around to stared at her.

"why the fuck are you walking so close to my boyfriend?" she shrieked as she pushed me aside.

i quickly caught myself and couldn't help but laugh, "jealous much? you have nothing to worry about love."

"you bitch!" she yelled as she went to smack me.

"kaitlyn stop! we're not dating anymore. fuck off."
tyler replied as he caught her hand and pushed her away.

he immediately grabbed mine and dragged me away from her.

what a jealous freak.

i looked down and saw his sleeve road up. he had needle wounds.

once he saw were i was looking he immediately pulled his sleeve down and looked away.

"i don't judge. i have my own battle." i shrugged as i walked into the classroom.

it was so boring.

we had to sit there and listen to someone go on and on for over an hour.

who in their right mind could listen to that?

as soon as the bell rang i ran over to my next class which was calculus 1.

i was actually pretty decent at math, which is why i'm at a decently high level considering my grade.

after math finished i went to go to the cafeteria, but before i could enter, someone grabbed my arm.

"what the- i spoke before someone put a finger to my lip.

"just me. i have a group of friends you can sit with if you want?" tyler spoke stiffly.

i nodded.

why not, i didn't have anyone else to hang out with.

we walked up to the end of the hall and put a tiny door to a balcony.

there were 3 people sitting on the floor.

"hey guys, this is tory. she's from australia." tyler spoke as he sat down.

"hey my names arianna." one of the girls spoke.

"my names katie." the other smiled as she gave me a tiny wave.

"i'm melody." the final girl spoke. she was beautiful.

"what's up! i'm cole." the last guy spoke awkwardly.

they didn't seem to bad.

"tory." i replied with a tiny smile.

everyone was sitting around eating, but the only food i brought were cigarettes.

"do you guys mind if i light one?" i asked.

"only if you share." katie laughed.

i nodded and grabbed a cigarette for all of them and lit them up before sitting back down.

"so, how do you like the states?" tyler asked.

"eh. nothing special. i prefer australia." i replied.

"aw, we've always wanted to go there right babe?" katie smiled as she leaned into arianna's arms.

arianna nodded in agreement.

"oh yeah, arianna and i are a couple. tyler is gay, but won't admit it, cole is also gay but won't admit it. i don't know about melody. she's secretive." katie smiled brightly.

"cool. i'm queer. i like who i like. don't like putting a label to it." i shrugged.

"i thought you were dating that whiny bitch out in the hall?" i spoke as i directed my attention to tyler.

"all for show. i don't care for the female gender." he spoke as he shot a glance at cole.

i don't think this group was going to be too bad.
