Chapter 23

Ashley's Pov

I walk towards the school cafeteria as it is the place I'm supposed to meet Tyler.

Once I've stepped in, my eyes immediately meet his as though he is the only one in the room.

Weirdly, my stomach doesn't do that flip it normally does when I see him.

I ignore it as I flash a big smile to him and walk over.

"Heyy," He smiles.

"Hi.." I say shyly.

"Ugh this is so fucked up, I'm in love with my best friends ex."

My eyes widen.

I definitely did not expect that.

"Wha- he told you?" I ask confused.

"Yeah, he told me last night."

"Yeah, well I broke up with him for you, Tyler. I'm in love with you and I'm sorry it took me so long to confess," I say practically forcing the words out at this point.

A bright smile takes over his face.

"Me too, Ash." He says.

Damn.

That's it?

I look at him awkwardly before he finally takes the hint and speaks.

"So.. would you like to me my girlfriend?" He asks.

The awkwardness could choke me.

"Yeah," I smile.

He pulls me into a hug then kisses me.

I give him one last smile before speaking.

"Um I'll see you later, I have to go to class right now, I've already missed alot."

He nods and I walk off.

It is now lunch time and Aaron still isn't in.

I texted him earlier to ask where he was but he still hasn't seen it.

I spot Tyler with his friends at our usual table and walk towards them.

"Hey babe," Tyler pecks me as I sit down.

I mentally cringe at the nickname but force a smile out.

God why is this so hard?

"Damnn, from one best friend to another?" A guy teases.

I roll my eyes at him flipping him off.

If only they knew.

The cafeteria doors screech open and he walks in.

My eyes immediately shift to his blue ones.

Gosh why is he breathtaking in every way.

Tyler shifts uncomfortably besides me and clears his throat.

I'm about to get up and walk towards him before remembering I am Tylers girlfriend now, not Aaron's.

I give him a small wave and he looks like he is almost fighting the urge to look away from me.

He gives me a small smile and I turn back around, continuing with my meal.

"Ash, you are my girlfriend now. You can't be friends with him anymore, he is your ex." Tyler says with an annoyed look on his face.
