Chapter 36

A few weeks have passed since Shyam's return to Raizada's house. Manu and Devi were treating him without any difference while Sirish managed to keep his distance.

Payal also has seen a different Anjali who is genuinely sorry and actually helping them to expose Shyam. Payal finally forgave Anjali.

Khushi and Payal were so far successful in avoiding Shyam. They both had breakfast with their husbands in their rooms, then they both took lunch to the office and had lunch over there. Arnav and Akash finished work later than their normal time to avoid family dinner. Four of them had dinner late at night.

Poor Anjali had no other option than to follow Shyam all the time but her month-long "Puja" was successfully continuing. So at least she had time for herself at night.

Arnav, Khushi, Payal, Akash, and Anjali thought since Shyam was not present when the truth about Arnav and Khushi's marriage came out he is unaware of the reason.

None of them knew Shyam was hiding behind a pillar listening to everything before he disappeared that day. That was another reason he was away for almost 2 days with his mistress because he was planning how to get their hands on Khushi.

Shyam's initial lust and hunger have changed into hatred. She hurt his ego, Arnav hurt his ego and now they are about to pay for it. Shyam planned to Kidnap Khushi and sell her to one of his overseas clients for a huge amount. After that, he and his mistress can leave the country and he never has to face Raizadas. Since Raizadas won't have a clue, they can never catch him.

Anjali however kept a close eye on Shyam. She didn't know what he was planning but she sure knew he was unto something.

"Chote, Khushi, are you guys sleeping?"

It was almost midnight and Anjali thought to talk to Arnav and Khushi. She was waiting for Shyam to go to sleep. Since she is sleeping in the bedroom next to Arnav and Khushi it was easier to ditch Shyam.

Khushi was sleeping however Arnav was up working on a deal.

"Come on Di" Arnav opened the door letting Anjali come inside.

"Sorry Chote, did I disturb you two?"

"No no Di, I was actually up, was working on a deal. So don't worry."

"Should we go to the poolside? I don't want to disturb Khushi's sleep"

"It's ok Di, she is like sleeping beauty when she sleeps. The only thing that can make her wakeup is if someone put fresh Jalebi next to her"

Anjali couldn't help but laugh. She recently witnessed how comfortable Arnav and Khushi were with each. Anjali didn't know what changed between them but the whole house knew something has changed.

"Chote, can I ask you something?"

"Sure Di, go ahead"

"Are you both ok? I mean after all those dramas. Were you guys able to talk it through?"

"Di, don't worry. I can assure you that both Khushi and I are happy. In fact the happiest we can be. When I decided to get married to Khushi, I was unaware of my feelings for her. It was simply because I felt like it was my duty to protect her. But now Di, I can't imagine my life without her"

"Chote?"

"Yes Di, I am in love with her Di. I love her so much Di."

"Omg Chote, I am so happy for you. I knew Khushi is the right choice for you. I knew the first time I saw her she will be the love of your life"

"Stop it Di, how is that even possible"

"Chote, I know you ever since you were born. The way you and Khushi argued that day was enough for anyone to understand. You both were trying to hide what you were feeling by arguing. Destiny is a very strong thing Chote. If you two are destined to be together, not even you yourselves can prevent it"
