Chapter-9

It was almost evening when Kaira woke up.

She walked out of her room, rubbing her eyes.

She almost bumped into Kevin, but he held her.

He looked at her from head to toe. She looked just like a baby who woke up from her nap.

He said, "Hey.. hey... Be careful. You almost bumped into the wall."

She said in her sleepy voice, "Mmm.... I'm sorry. Actually I didn't notice that."

"It's okay. C'mon, let's eat something. You haven't had anything since we reached here." He said caressing her hair.

She nodded and both left for the dining hall.

There they had their evening snacks with some tea.

While talking, Kaira asked, "Why did you talk to James like that??"

He looked at her and said, "What?? That's how I normally talk to people."

"Am I not included in "people" category?? Am I some kind of alien or what??" She mocked.

Kevin was shocked hearing her question. She was too straight to him which nobody ever dared to.

"I'm like that." He answered.

"But you should not be." She said looking at him.

"You should be kind towards the people around you, who help you." She continued.

"But why should I?? The people around the world are so cruel. They are so much so that, they could kill a brother, just before another brother's eyes!!! Why can't I be rude?? If they can be so cruel to break a little heart into millions of pieces, then why can't I just be rude??? Why can't I??" For some reason, he broke into tears.

He poured all the anger, frustration and pain that he had inside infront of her.

Kaira couldn't understand what the actual reason was for his sudden outburst. She stood and walked near him.

She hugged him.

"It's okay. Don't worry. Everything will be fine. Trust me."

He hugged her tightly and cried his heart out.

"It's okay..... Everything will be fine." She kept whispering this into his ears till he calmed down.

After a few moments, he felt better and got separated from her but she was still in his embrace. He cleaned his face and smiled. But she could see the pain behind the smile.

He said changing the topic, "I'm planning our wedding for tomorrow. Will you be okay with that??"

"But why so soon?? We just got here today itself!! She asked.

"Because I've left my work and came here, dear. This is important for us. After that we'll again be busy with our lives. But before that, we need to visit my mom. And soon we'll be finding your mom too."

Hearing this, Kaira thought something for a moment, then nodded.

He asked, "So, what do you think??"

"But before that, we need to get your suit. You didn't even do the shopping with me that day." She said worried.

He smiled.

"See, now you're smiling. How could you be so careless??? Are you going to get married wearing your business suit??"

"No... No... It's just that I'm feeling like you really are my fiance, who is getting stressed for her would be."

"Shut up.... Find a showroom nearby so that we can get there ASAP and get your suit."
