CHAPTER-17

Taehyung POV

"Yes we need to know what is actually happening?" Jin hyung said jumping In between the conversation.

"And we need to call Dr. Hank." jungkook reminded with a glint of worry In his  voice.

"And her phone is switched off we need to charge it too so that we can check." jimin yelled while holding onto the half drenched phone.

"Its not a good thing to check a girl's phone without her permission you moron." yoongi Hyung said and smacked his head a little bit hard earning a growl from the red headed jimin.

"Still just charge it In case her parents call her." I say and jimin quickly nods.
He places it on the table while plugging a charger and turns it on in case of phone calls.

"Dr. Hank said that he will be here In thirty minutes." jungkook said while sliding his phone back to his pocket and I couldn't help but feel suspicious.

" He never did that for us. Do you remember how he used to deny everytime whenever we called him at an unawanted time." I said while facing all of them and earned a nod from everyone.

" I think he is just worried because she is a girl." jungkook said and plopped himself on the sofa just in front of Mrs kang who seemed lost in her own world.

"So." I clasped my hands in front of my chest and sat right beside jungkook followed by the other boys who sat on the floor.

Now we all were facing her and she was sitting right in front of us while clutching her dress that I gave her. It was of a maid so there is no reason to be worried.

"Tell us everything you know Mrs kang we really want to help you and Y/n." I said softly so that I can earn her trust.

She looked at all of us and then again focused on clutching her dress.

" OK so just tell us whose men were they?" jin hyung asked to ease up the conversation.

She again made eye contact with us then averted her gaze at the side. She opened her mouth to speak something but closed it instantly.

"Mrs kang please cooperate with us so that we can keep you safe." I said and I noticed her eyes softened a bit.

"Actually those men were sent by Y/n's mom."

"WHAT!!! " we all shouted in unison still not believing on what we just heard.

"Why would she do that?"

" She had been abusing Y/n since she was born. I still remember when she was not even able to walk properly and all her body was covered in bruises but still she was forced to attend school. I took her to the hospital and then the doctors examined her body. They told me she was being abused brutally from a long time."  she said in a low tone and we all gasped.

It's a lot of information to take in.

"But why would she do that? "I asked as I still can't get over the fact that a mother can do this to her own child.

"As far as I can remember she was always beaten up whenever she got second rank." she said while thinking.

"It's pathetic. How can you just beat someone like that on getting second rank?" yoongi hyung said while getting pissed.

I couldn't help but feel guilty for cheating on that test. She was punished for something I did.

That's the reason she looked terrified.

"Is that the reason she used to take leaves after some exams and sometimes even wore full sleeves clothes in summers? " I asked as I remembered all these years I was so ignorant towards these obvious hints.

Mrs kang nodded on my state ment.

"Such a monster." jin hyung mumbled.

"Hey tae. You had a parcel this morning. Sorry I forgot to tell you."
Namjoon hyung said while getting up but was again pulled down by yoongi hyung.

"Is it the right time to unbox a parcel when we just got to know that our future sister in law was living in a hell all this time?" he said with annoyance.

I blushed a little on his statement but quickly hid it because of the tension present in that room.

"But there were two parcels. One was for tae and the other one had his and Y/n's name." as soon as he said that my eyes shot up.

" I never ordered something. Neither for me nor for Y/n."

"That's suspicious."

"Lets just open it to find out."namjoon hyung said and we all agreed.

He sprinted towards the kitchen and came back with a box and an envelope.

The envelope had some test results of Y/n that said the same thing Mrs Kang told us. That she was getting abused from a very long time.

Guilt rushed down to my body as I thought that I should have seen it earlier.

My thoughts were cut when jimin yelled out.

"Oh God this is crazy!!!!"

"What is it?"

"See by yourself."

I took the box and gaped at it with wide eyes.

It was.......
