Disney Actorville was back to its normal magical self.

It hadn't been that way since it was attacked by dastardly criminals.

On this particular day, Sam Pan-Cook had just arrived to do her volunteer work.

When she got to the Brown Derby restaurant, her friend Dick Grayson was there with his beautiful daughter Rose.

"Sam! I knew you'd be here" said Dick.

"Hiya, Dick! And hi, Rose! Looking beautiful" said Sam.

"Hi" said Rose shyly.

"Rose, you probably didn't know... but this is where your father found you" said Sam.

"Here?" said Rose.

"Here in Actorville. Some... twist of fate put you in my tummy. And here you are now" said Dick.

"What kind of twist of fate?" said Rose.

Dick and Sam looked at each other unsurely.

"She doesn't know?" said Sam.

"I never told her because I want my daughter happy. Please don't tell her" said Dick.

Sam turned back to Rose, cleared her throat and said "You're not old enough to know, honey. We should let you live longer".

"Oh, sure. I can wait" said Rose positively.

"Live longer?" Dick whispered.

"It's all I could think of" said Sam.

Just then, Sam's four Actorville buddies came into the restaurant and joined Dick and Rose.

"Hi, guys!" said Sam.

"Hello, Sam!" said Chad Stuart giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"And Dick! How nice to see you" said Digby Wolfe.

"Hey, guys. Have you met my daughter, Rose Grayson?" said Dick.

"Why, no" said Chad.

"Rosie, these are Sam's buddies. Chad Stuart, J. Pat O'Malley, Digby Wolfe and Lord Tim Hudson" said Dick.

"It's an absolute pleasure, Rose" said Pat suavely.

"You look so much like your father" said Chad.

"Thank you" said Rose looking down.

"How is she so grown up? You only had her not too long ago" said Digby.

"Batman has his ways" said Dick.

Rose smiled up at Tim and he just gave her a tiny wave.

"Why are you not talking?" said Rose.

"Oh, it's just one of those things, sweet. Tim can't speak to girls" said Chad.

"Why not?" said Rose.

"Well, he's kind of a shy one" said Sam.

She looked at Tim and said "Don't worry about it; I'll get you a grasshopper as soon as I take your orders".

Tim smiled and nodded to thank her.
