*Lincoln wakes up in his room & heads out to get some breakfast. After a bit, Ed heads out to take care of deliveries, leaving the kids to do the chores. Belle gets to work on cleaning the dishes, while the boys all head out to take care of their work respectively. Lincoln sees he's given a new task than usual; Mow the lawn.*

LINCOLN: Uh...

FORD: He means our front yard, gotta make it look just as nice after all.

LINCOLN: Oh, okay.

LEE: Or you could help out & Belle can-

LINCOLN: No! I-I can mow a lawn. How do I-

BILLY: Mower's in the shed next to the barn.

*Understanding, Lincoln heads out with the others as they get to work. The albino haired boy makes it to the shed & finds a few gardening tools hung up on the front wall, a silver push mower to the left & an orange riding mower to the right.*

LINCOLN: Aw, a push mower? The riding one would be more-

?: Don't even think about it!

*Immediately popping out from his shadow was the black squirrel.*

SQUIRREL: You don't know how to drive it & no doubt you'll trash everything in sight, causing the nice farmer to kick you out.

LINCOLN: But-

SQUIRREL: Remind me, how many plans have ACTUALLY worked without it blowing up in your face? And I'm not counting the ones ruined by your family.

LINCOLN: ...Good point.

SQUIRREL: A little hard work won't kill us. Besides, how big can a front yard be?

*Lincoln makes it to the front yard to find the grass is ankle high, not very safe for many to step through. It doesn't look too big, & shouldn't take too long. Lincoln gets to work, only to find the push mower isn't working that well as it barely cuts any of the grass.*

LINCOLN: I'm gonna have to use the riding mower.

SQUIRREL: NO!

LINCOLN: I know what I'm doing, don't worry!

*Lincoln heads back to the shack & finds the riding mower still there, with the keys on a hook nearby. He grabs them & turns the ignition, having it start up.*

LINCOLN: Okay, go nice & slow. Let's start by gently pressing on the ga- AAAHHH!

*The moment Lincoln put his foot on the gas pedal, he sealed his fate as the mower zoomed right out at blinding speed. He drives out of control, getting the attention of the Timber boys as they drop everything to chase after the frightened boy on the mower.*

QUINTESS BOYS: LINCOLN!

LINCOLN: HOW DO I STOP THIS!?

LEE: Steer out of danger!

*Lincoln takes control of the wheel & tries driving more professionally, only to struggle to turn. He starts driving for the front lawn as Belle was dusting & she saw Lincoln passed by on the mower as it hit a rock, sending Lincoln flying off & crashing into a mud puddle. She rushes out & finds the mower crashing into a tree across the dirt road with the engine finally dying out. Lincoln got up groaning & spitting out mud as he crawled out & onto solid ground to get up. Belle immediately ran up & hugged him, relieved he was okay.*

BELLE: LINCOLN, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!?

LINCOLN: I-

FORD: And there goes another alternate fuel idea.

LEE: Aw man, I just fixed it last week.

LINCOLN: I-I Didn't mean to-

BILLY: At least the front yard is mowed.

*All of them look & find Billy is indeed correct, however the fence & some of the field is not so good looking.*

LINCOLN: I'm sorry... The push mower wasn't working & I just thought-

BELLE: Are you hurt?

LINCOLN: N-no.

BELLE: That's a relief. Go wash up, Pa will no doubt want to talk to you about this.

*The white haired boy does as he's told & goes to the house for a shower & a change of clothes. A few hours have passed & all Lincoln could think about is how bad he messed up. The squirrel then reappears, looking not so happy himself.*

SQUIRREL: I told you so...

LINCOLN: (I should've listened. Who knows what Ed will do to me?)

*He suddenly hears a knock at his door & walking in is the farmer in question.*

ED: We need ta talk.

LINCOLN: (Here it comes.)

*He approaches Lincoln & sits down on the bed next to him. Lincoln shakes with fear, not knowing what's in store for him. Is he gonna force him to do everyone's work? Is he going to kick him out? Is he going to call his parents & be dragged back to Royal Woods? Lincoln breaks out of it once the farmer speaks up.*

ED: What ya did was extremely dangerous. You could've gotten yerself or anyone else hurt.

LINCOLN:  The push mower wasn't working & I just thought-

ED: Calm down. In hindsight, you weren't told about the ridin' mower. But ya should've told someone about the push mower.

LINCOLN: Um...

ED: All the kids on mah farm work for their allowance. I was gonna give you one startin' next month, but it'll have ta be smaller to do the damage ya caused.

*This was not what Lincoln expected to hear. He's not angry he messed up. Although he does sound a bit disappointed which doesn't make Lincoln feel any better.*

LINCOLN: I'm sorry...

ED: I'll have Ford check the push mower once he's done with the ridin' mower. And I'd like if ya help me with repairin' the fence.

LINCOLN: Of course!

ED: Good. Now c'mon, it's time for dinner.

*Both of them head out for the kitchen as Lincoln thinks about his family a little. His parents were never this reasonable & sisters weren't this kind to see if he was okay. He sits down with the others & finds for dinner a simple pepperoni pizza. Ed serves out plates for all the kids with slices on them, except for Belle, who has a caesar salad. Ed was munching on some onion rings.*

LINCOLN: Wow, this is good...

BILLY: That's Tony's for you.

BELLE: Lincoln, i-if you want I could teach you how to drive the riding mower.

LINCOLN: That uh, could help.

ED: It's gonna have ta wait until it's repaired. And with normal gas, might I add.

LEE: Yeah, sorry.

FORD: I'll get to it tomorrow.

*As Lincoln eats, he couldn't help but look around. This new family he has is just perfect. Although, it makes Lincoln wonder if leaving his family behind was a bad idea. Maybe there could've been a way to talk it out. Then again, they tend to ignore him or jump to conclusions. But he couldn't help but wonder how they were doing while he was gone...*

Sorry for the long wait, I had major writers block trying to figure out where the story was going. Next chapter shall focus on the Loud family for most of it, seeing as they haven't been visible for a while. Just remember to be patient, as I am only one man working on this...
