It was the next morning, and I was just getting up.
The party last night was so awesome. It lasted until early in the morning. I'm glad I went.
I hummed a little tune while I did my morning routine.
Walking down the stairs, I enter the living room. Shun was sitting on the sofa.
"Good morning, jerk. You never woke me last night."
"Huh? Oh, sorry about that."
"You better be. I was late because-"
"Hello."
What?
I look forward to find a kid sitting across from my brother.
"Um...hello...?"
"Homare...meet Mizuki."
Mizuki?
"You remember her, right?"
I look the girl over. She looked to be around the age of eight or so. She smiles at me.
"You used to call me Mimi."
My eyes widen.
"Mimi? Oh, I remember you! You were that kid in the same dance class as me!"
Her smile got bigger.
"So you do remember me, big sis?"
I smile at her.
"Yeah. How have you been? How's your folks?"
"They're good. I'm doing good too."
"That's cool. Why are you here?"
"I've moved back into town."
"You did?"
"Yeah. I wanted to see my friend again."
Friend? Oh, she means me, right?
"Cool. Want to go somewhere after school today? We can hang out."
"Yes!"
"Sweet, I'll see you soon then."
"I made some breakfast. So take some with you."
"Okay, thanks, Shun."
Grabbing it, I leave the house.

Once I hear the door shut, I drop the act.
"Why are you really here, Mimi?"
Her smile completely disappears. She looks back at me with an emotionless expression.
"I don't know... Maybe because I want to see my old friend again. Or maybe...I was called here, who knows."
"There's no straight answer with you, is there? You're just like your mother."
