ASH POV

Tap . . .Tap . . . Tap . . .

The rain . 

It Brought back memories . . .

Terrible ones . . .

When world turns you black . . .

You search for light in your heart . . .

And when you don't find it , what happens ?

You die . . .

"Serena you can't leave me , stay here . . ."
Tears . Tears of Regret . 

"Ash your friend doesn't have his heart functioning properly . We may not be able to save her . " The Doctor said as he went out of emergency room and I asked him about the status of her .
He went over to the next room for his instruments .

"No , Serena . . ." I punched the wall hard . Tears started dropping from my eyes . The pain of losing her was indescribable . She is my love . We both realize it and I want it to continue . I can't stand at the loss of her . Her azure eyes and her smile were enough to keep me going . 

"Doctor Can I do anything ? " I desperately clinged to Doctor's coat and begged at his feet for saving her .

"We need a heart donor Ash , whose traits match with her . We are currently analyzing her mother's to get a match . " He said .

" You can check mine too , if it matches . . . " I argued with tears streaming my eyes . If it meant death for me , I would gladly accept for Serena .

"That's a risky move Ash . . . We have to check though . " He said calmly as he again went inside .

Pikachu , Greninja , Sylveon , Braixen were crying  at the corner of the room I sat in. Yeah they were suffering too.  I needed to calm them down . 

"Sylveon , Braixen Nothing will happen to Serena , I promise . . . " I said almost wrapping my tears off .

"I Promise . . ."

"I P-ro - m- ise ..." . I stammered at the coldness .

Tears were engulfing me . 

Sylveon wrapped his feelers around me , as I hugged all of them . We all were going one of the toughest stages of life . 

Suddenly  ,  several Doctors rushed out . They were in hurry . I had to know what was going on .
I ran after them .

"Doctor what happened ? " I asked .

"Serena's mother's heart didn't match by just a small pinch Ash . . ." He said in disappointment .

"You have to check mine though . . . " I said to him  . 

"Ash , if we don't make the right choice within 45 mins , we will lose Serena forever . . ." He shouted at my face . I knew I was disturbing him , But what could I do ? I couldn't protect her .It was my fault . 

45 mins ? Was this the end of world ? Was this my end ?

"Doctor , I have a feeling . Please check mine . . ." I cried as I got on my knees while my hands restless .

"Ok , let's check , come here now . . ." He said in disappointment as he unlocked a door leading to a machine occupied room .

"Ash we are beginning procedures , this will take just 5 mins . . . I am not giving you anesthetic , bare please . " He ended .

Please Arceus . . .

"I will Doctor . . . Whatever it takes . . ." 

He then began his processes to check about different traits of my heart using some complex machine . At end he gave a huge 'O' on his mouth and covered it with his hands .

"Doctor ? " I asked .

"Your Heart is the perfect fit Ash . . ." He said with extreme joy . 

I was joyful . too happy that it will be my heart which would be with Serena's . But then a sudden realization stroked through . Was this my end ?  What was going to be with me ?

"Ash , if you are eager then we can replace your heart with Serena's . But about you . . ." He trailed off .

"What about me Doctor ? . . ." I wanted to know .

"We have to replace by a mechanical heart . It will work the same though but it has many risks " He stopped . 

"What's the risk Doctor ? "  I gulped . 

"Very less patients survive a mechanical heart for a long time . They usually get down to their premature death . . . " 

If its Serena , then Nothing Matters . . .

"I am willing to take the risk Doctor , please Proceed . . . "
