Evelyn's arms were wrapped around her boyfriend's neck. She was thankful she wore high heels the added height allowing her to comfortably reach her boyfriend without him awkwardly bending down.
Asher admired her as he looked down, resting his hands around her hips. He practically drooled over her dress, the insane amount of cleavage that her father wasn't a fan of but, Asher couldn't help but keep glancing at.
They sure had come a long way from last year's homecoming. Evelyn was still with Jordan and he was cheating on her, Asher was with Layla who had also cheated on him. The two finding their way to each other that night and falling asleep on that bench was probably the best thing to ever happen.
"I know I told you this a thousand times but, you look so beautiful," Asher spoke, lightly brushing his finger against her cheek.
She blushed at his compliment. "Thank you. You look so handsome." She brought her hand up and lightly tugged on the tie of his suit, giving him a wink. "I love when you're all dressed up."
This time Asher was blushing. He held her tightly as they swayed to the soft music in the background. Their attention quickly got intercepted once one of the student council members stepped up to the mic.
"Let's sit," he mumbled, taking a hold of her hand and guiding her over to the table where their friends were sitting. He placed her down on his lap, not wanting to take his hands off of her.
"Talk about clingy," Enrique whispered to his date. His date was yet again another random girl from the cheer team.
Evelyn whipped her head around and glared at her brother. "Shut up, idiot!"
"Guys, I'm totally getting homecoming king," JJ said, Destiny who was his date to the dance sat next to him and playfully rolled her eyes. Although the pairing was strange at first, Evelyn couldn't help but notice how good they looked together. "Cheer loudly for me."
"And this year's Homecoming King...JJ Parker!"
JJ stood up, raising his arms in the air as cheers were loudly thrown his way. The group of friends had shortly left the dance once homecoming king was announced seeing as they only stayed for so long because JJ just had a gut feeling that he'd win.
