Y/n is now home from school and it is 5:15. Vinnie told her dinner was at 6 so she starts trying to pick out an outfit. She picked some jeans and a cute crop top. She's known the Hackers for a long time so she knew she didn't have to dress too nice. Y/n was ready and checked the time. It was 5:45 and Vinnie texted her.

5:45 pm

Vinnie- I'm on my way!!

Y/n-Okay!!

5:51 pm

Vinnie- I'm here

Y/n gets in Vinnies car and he stays looking at her.

Y/n- Is something wrong?

Vinnie smiles and starts driving.

Vinnie- No you just look nice.

Y/n felt her cheeks turn red and looks out the window.

Y/n- Thanks

Vinnie- So are you nervous or something? You're barely talking.

Y/n- A little

A LOT

Vinnie- No reason to be nervous. It's not like you need to impress them or anything. They know we're friends.

Y/n- Um yeah you're right.

Ouch

Vinnie noticed it bothered Y/n, what he said.

Vinnie- Sorry I just- you know what I mean.

Y/n- Yeah for sure. Don't worry.

Vinnie- It's my fault. You kno-

Y/n- I said it's fine. No need to bring it up.

They stayed quiet until the got to his house. He gets off and opens the door for Y/n. They're walking into the house and head to the kitchen.

Vinnie- Mom.

He points to Y/n signaling she's here.

Maria- Y/n!! Sweetie. How are you?

Maria says while hugging her.

Y/n- I'm great. How are you?

Maria- I'm good. So glad you could join us for dinner.

Y/n- Thank you for inviting me.

Maria- Of course. You're basically family. And between me and you Vinnie insisted on you coming.

Maria whispered the last part, but Vinnie still heard causing Y/n to laugh.

Vinnie- Mom! Really?

Maria- What I'm just saying.

Maria and Y/n laugh causing Vinnie to go into the living room.
