Gracies POV (14 Years Old)

I shoved my rug to one side and moved my desk in a bid to create more room for me to practice,

"What the hell are you doing in here Gracie? It sounds like your moving furniture" Jay stated as he appeared in my doorway and raised his eyebrow in amusement "why are you moving the furniture?" He asked as he watched me attempt to shift my extremely heavy desk,

"I'm trying to make room so I can practice for my audition tomorrow" I informed and he shook his head,

"Why didn't you just ask for help?" He asked as he ushered me away and moved my desk with ease,

"I thought I could manage" I shrugged causing his to roll his eyes,

"Just be careful" he reminded "you know how clumsy you are" he said as he left my room and I frowned in slight offence,

"I am not clumsy" I exclaimed as I turned around and painfully stubbed my toe on my desk "OW" I shouted as I cradled my sore toe,

"You ok?" Jay shouted and I could almost hear the smirk in his voice,

"Yeah" I confirmed as I shook my foot and began stretching.

I watched the video of the dance sequence over and over again but there was one move that I just couldn't land, no matter how many times I tried! I had the song down to a T but unless I could nail this dace sequence I didn't stand a chance. I spent hours repeating the same move over and over again until eventually I somewhat had it down,

"Hey Gracie" Will said as he walked by my bedroom door and stopped to see what I was doing. I was so wrapped up in learning the dance that I didn't really notice him "Gracie" he said a little louder and I stopped to look over at him,

"Oh sorry what did you say?" I asked as I grabbed my glass of water and chugged it down quickly,

"I said hey" he repeated with a gentle frown now present on his face,

"Oh hey" I greeted and he shook his head,

"You look exhausted" he observed "how long've you been practicing?" He asked and I shrugged looking at my Fitbit for reference,

"A couple hours?" I lied but it came out more as a question. He gave me a pointed look indicating that he didn't believe what I was saying "ok fine four hours" I caved and his eyes widened,

"You're done for the day" he stated firmly "why don't you go take a shower?" He suggested,

"I can't stop yet Will I need more practice, the audition is tomorrow" I exclaimed and he held his hand up signalling for me to be quiet,

"All the more reason for you to stop now" he shrugged "you're gonna be no use tomorrow if you're exhausted" he stated and I sighed "go on, dinner'll be ready by the time you've finished" my brother insisted as I passed by him to go to the bathroom.

The Next Morning

"C'mon Will you're gonna make me late" I whined as I stood with my shoes on and water bottle in hand ready to leave for my audition,

"We've got plenty of time Gracie stop stressing" he insisted from his bedroom,

"But I wanna get there early" I reminded and suddenly his door opened,

"Ok I'm ready" he said as he walked out with his shoes already on "let's go" he said as he grabbed his keys and we both headed out of the door.

The drive to the venue was silent until Will pulled his car to a stop outside,
