Gracie's POV (6 Years Old)

Stupid school! I don't get why Will and Jay make me go everyday! It's so boring! Sometimes all I wanna do is just stay home,

"Willll" I complained "I don't feel good" I lied,

"What do you mean?" He asked, not looking up from his phone,

"I feel sick" I whined with a pretend frown,

"You seemed fine five minutes ago when you were eating your breakfast" he raised his eyebrows at me,

"I didn't feel sick then" I lied, trying to keep up the lie,

"Come here" he beckoned me over and put his hand on my forehead frowning "you are a little warm" he commented. Yes! My plan was working! "Do you have headache?" He asked and I nodded silently, "There is a bug going round" he said, more to himself than to me, "okay well, you better go back to bed" he instructed. YES! I stayed calm and kept looking sad and ill, "but no TV" he lectured "If your sick then you stay in bed" he ordered as slumped off back to my room.

Result! I can't believe that worked! And on Will, the doctor of the family. I climbed back in to bed and cuddled up to one of my teddies, thinking about all my friends who would be leaving for school.

It had been about an hour of sitting in my bed doing nothing when I was beginning to get hungry so I walked out of my bedroom and in the the kitchen were Will was still working at his laptop,

"What are you doing up?" He questioned when he saw me,

"I'm hungry" I complained causing him to frown,

"You shouldn't really eat anything if you're feeling sick Gracie" he commented "you want some plain saltine crackers?" He asked from his place at the table and I nodded, silently sitting down at the table to eat my crackers,

"Here" he said as he placed a glass of water in front of me "you need to make sure you drink enough water" he said as he sat back in front of his laptop. I decided to take my time eating the crackers as It was incredibly boring in my bedroom.

"Can I watch tv?" I asked, deciding to push my luck slightly,

"Nope" he frowned "you can go back to bed when you've finished those" he instructed firmly. I sighed but did as I was instructed and cleared my plate and emptied my glass before going back to my bed.

Ugh. This wasn't fun at all! I laid back in my bed for what felt like hours, counting all the toys I could see and reciting songs in my head before I decided I would sneak my iPad in to my room. I tiptoed out of my room and past the kitchen, being careful not to be spotted by Will, and made my way in to Jays bedroom were I know my iPad is kept. I opened his wardrobe and used the chair to reach the shelf were it was kept, and I crept back out of Jays room and back over to mine. Mission complete! I turned it on and selected my favourite colouring in app, but my heart skipped a beat when an advert came on before it and blasted out of the speakers. I held my breath in a hope that Will hadn't heard it but I heard footsteps coming towards my room,

"What was that noise?" He questioned with a quizzical frown, I tried to act calm as I held my iPad behind my back,

"What noise?" I lied "I didn't hear anything" I smiled. Will stared at me, clearly seeing through my lie,

"Hand it over" he instructed,

"What?" I asked innocently,

"Your iPad" he stated simply "now hand it over" he repeated. I sighed but did as I was told and handed my brother my iPad "are you lying to me Gracelyn?" He asked "because if you are then I've had to take the day off work to look after you rather than look after genuinely sick people" he said angrily "are you sick?" He asked. I couldn't lie, I knew he would know and then be angrier with me so I shook my head,
