Gracies POV (7 Years Old)

"Gracie" I felt Will shake my shoulder gently before my eyes flickered opened "rise and shine sunshine" he said as he walked over to my window and opened my curtains allowing the sunlight to flood in to my room,

"Urgh" I groaned as I pulled my pillow over my face "five more minutes" I pleaded and I heard Will let out a weary sigh,

"No can do Gracie" he said "come on up you get" he insisted,

"I don't wanna" I whined "just five more minutes" I pleaded once again,

"Gracie" Will said in a warning tone "come on let's not start the day off like this" he said as he pulled the pillow from on top of my head,

"We wouldn't be if you would just leave me alone" I informed with a grumpy frown "it's not even a school day" I said,

"I know but we've still got things to do" he replied "I'll be back in two minutes and if you're not out of bed I'll send Jay in here" he warned as he walked out of my room. I grabbed my pillow from the bottom of my bed where Will had thrown it and rested my head back on it and closing my eyes hoping that I would be allowed to go back in to a dreamless sleep.

"Gracie" Will shouted me awake from his place in the doorway and I groaned "JAY" he shouted as I sandwiched my head between my pillows to block out the noise "you're gonna have to deal with her because she's not listening to me" he told our other brother,

"GRACELYN" Jay shouted from where I'm guessing the kitchen "if I have to come in there you aren't gonna like me too much" he warned and I whined audibly,

"But Jayyy I just want five more minutes" I pleaded before I heard footsteps coming towards my bedroom,

"Get up" Jay ordered but I remained in bed "now Gracie or I'll get you out myself" he threatened and I whined as I sat up slightly and glared at him "I mean it Gracie I don't have all day I've gotta get to work" he shook his head in frustration and I laid back down,

"Just go then no one's keeping you here" I said as I pulled my duvet over my head,

"Right" he huffed as he pulled the duvet from on top of me "don't say I didn't warn you" he said as he pulled twisted my leg to the side slightly and laid down a solid smack to my upper thigh causing tears to sting my eyes. He pulled me up from my bed and placed me firmly on the floor before pointing towards the open door "go get your breakfast" he ordered as I stomped off to the kitchen "there's plenty more where that came from if you don't change that attitude Gracie" he warned as I sat down at the kitchen table with a huff.

"Cereal or toast?" Will asked me from his place In the kitchen and I shrugged in an uncaring manner,

"I'm not hungry" I mumbled and Will let out a weary sigh,

"Cereal it is" he said shaking his head as he poured out a bowl of cornflakes and placed it in front of me. I wordlessly picked at my food, only occasionally taking a spoonful,

"I'm gonna get going" Jay said as he pinned his badge on to his belt "Gracie" he beckoned me over "come here a minute" he instructed as I threw my head back dramatically and slumped over to my brother who was now stood by the front door "I get that you where't ready to get up this morning but sometimes we all have to do things we don't wanna do" he said "but unless your intention is to land yourself in trouble I'd give up on the bad attitude and start behaving" he finished his lecture "understand me?" He asked with an expectant eyebrow raised,

"Yes sir" I replied reluctantly as Jay pulled me in for a hug and gave me a kiss on the top of my head "be careful" I said as I returned his hug,

"Always" he assured "be good for Will" he said as he released me from the hug and opened the front door "bye Will" he shouted as Will appeared from the kitchen,
