The reports regarding Jesse’s death are wrong, of course. Every time I read them, it just…it feels so wrong.
I am responsible for his death.
Wesley, who is distraught over his friend, does not blame me. Father, who is trying to comfort me, is trying to make me understand that it is not my fault.
But it is.
And I am going to live with that fact for the rest of my life.
