Jesse Gordon is one of the most infuriating men I have ever met.

If he dares to call me ‘lady’ one more time, I am sure to scream.

And it has only been a few hours!

Wesley Parsons and Father got a long very well, though, talking about their work, which is surprisingly very similar.  Mr. Parsons is a very nice man with a great sense of humor, unlike his giant brute of a best friend.

At least, I am away from Mr. Gordon’s gaze.  All throughout dinner his eyes were locked on me, scrutinizing and calculating.  What, I do not know.  It is almost like he was testing my ability to either hold my tongue or his ability to listen to what I put into Father and Mr. Parsons’ conversation without firing something back.  Either way, I was tired of having him watching me.

Now, I am sitting in a guest room of Paddon Manor since Mr. Parsons convinced Father to stay the night, claiming he had much more he wanted to discuss in the morning.

Like I mentioned before, something is very different about this place and even some of the people I had come across while heading to my room.  Maybe what Mr. Parsons wants to talk to Father about will give us some sort of answer.
