I walked back into the house of my childhood memories, I could hear the television, it surprised me to hear the theme tune to countdown blaring out.

I hadn't heared that tune in nearly twelve years, memories of us came flooding back to me, we used to see who could make the longest word, although we were both pretty rubbish at it, and rarely made words longer than six letters, but it didn't matter we bonded over that programme, it was our time together.

Walking along the corridor my senses were brought back to life, chicken noodle soup, it was my favourite no one since has been able to make it like you.

Then I hear the scratching sound of a coin on card, I remember he would let me choose one to do then hated it when mine was the winning one, but he'd always go back to the shop next day and buy me another, that was our time together.

Then the best smell ever invaded my nostrils your perfume.

Tears started flowing, I started running towards the kitchen, pass the coat stand where his hats were always hung.

I stood in that kitchen sobbing, I knew deep down none of it was real, just memories, but I so so wanted to see you there cooking cakes like you use to do.....
