To the darkness
You're assuming
That I'm not even trying
I need a hand
Someone to understand
Some words of comfort
When I tell you what hurts
Push it away
Ignore all the pain
Easier said than done
Coming from somebody
Who's already won
Now my ending
Is getting really close
As for you
I hope you never show
I'm still troubled
Just so you know
I was halfway there
To my breaking point
I came through
Just to not disappoint
I'm back in the beginning
The start of sinking
Further into the water
Not even struggling
When the breathing
Starts to get harder
Tell me what I want to hear
Give me what I need to feel
Show me what I want to see
Pretend my misery isn't real
If I were dying
Would you take the time
To notice me
See how special
I wanted to be
Instead, it's all in my head
That's what you said
It's all just a dream
But I can't break free
I'm better off
Being fake happy
That's the only time you love me
