I've got two things to live by
Who I am
And what I want
Now that I have finally caught your eye
You should know
All along I've tried
And what did I do?
Shield you from all the pain
All so I didn't hurt your feelings
I was scared
That you would have no shame
In the things you say
That made me frayed
Revenge and regret, no more
I've seen it
I didn't want to be it
Heartfelt apology
I hope you can forgive me
We've both done things
That doesn't excuse
Our back and forth inflicting
Looking for a way out
That doesn't scream "turn back around"
I can't avoid the guilt
Of the way I wanted you to feel
Black and white world
No emotions, no color
You started it first
I wish it could reverse
The old arguments are a graveyard
Let's keep it between us
Like a secret in the dark
Animosity is turning into hospitality
You don't have to play it on repeat
Thanks for the new shoes
But I'd rather walk in what I choose
Whether this passes you
You're going to have to accept
What comes true
Two cars collide
The damage is repairable
It'll be better if we collaborate
Not make harm deliberate
What do you say?

Regardless when you disagree
