Consumed by wanderlust
I can break it
Give you a reason to stay right here
Where you're needed
I wouldn't know what to do
If you disappeared
Do you see
How important you are to me, dear?
In the morning
Not a sight of you sleeping near
I wonder where you've gone
Stuck in your imaginary thoughts
That you roam
I've been hanging on
Until you get back home
You never get too happy
In a different world
Afraid to go overboard
Remember who you are
The faster we depart
From your made up life
The quicker you see the light
You've been wanting to find
Return to reality
Where the battle raged
With nonexistent stories
And absentminded tv screens
Replacing yourself
With somebody else
Marching in the streets
Or leading an army
Colors hide the fire in your eyes
No matter how many times
I put the flame out
You always missed the warmth
And it shows in your face
You'd rather be in another place
You seem so far away
Don't worry about love
You don't need it
You have everything you ever wanted
You're lost
As you're not responding
Don't you understand, starry-eyed fool
There is no kingdom to rule
Don't make me give up on you
Don't get down and out in the blues
I can't control what you do
I don't want to lose you
Hopefully one day
You'll understand too
