"Stiles, you really don't have to come with me," I assured my brother, watching as he started his beat up Jeep, pulling out of the driveway.
He grinned at me. "I'm coming, Sawyer - deal with it," he chuckled. I smiled back at him, squeezing his hand.
"Oh, and we're picking up Scott," he grinned at me. I chuckled, rolling my eyes. "Of course we are," I muttered, secretly happy to be seeing Scott again.
Ever since our "talk", Stiles had been stuck to me like glue. To be honest, it made me uneasy.
"Hey, call Scott - tell him we're on our way," he held out his cell, which I took and quickly punched in Scott's number.
"Stiles, hey, did you-" "It's Sawyer," I interrupted him.
Silence. "Oh - um, hi!" He chirped. "What's up?"
I chuckled, smiling. "Stiles wanted me to tell you that we're on our way -" "And I didn't tell her!" Stiles shouted.
I cast him a dry look, smirking. "And that he didn't tell me whatever you all are keeping from me," I winked at Stiles, who just smiled back at me sadly.
"Oh - well, um, okay. Wait, where are we going?" Scott asked, sounding confused.
I took a deep breath. "Stiles has taken it upon himself to follow me everywhere - even my house - I mean, my old house- wait, no, I mean-" Scott chuckled.
"It's okay, Sawyer. I get it. See you in a few," he murmured. I smiled slightly. "Bye."
Stiles sighed. "You two should just kiss and get it over with," he muttered. I looked at him sharply. "Excuse me?" I asked, my voice flat.
Stiles smirked at me. "It's obvious you two like each other. In surprised you're both still virgins," he grinned, looking back at the road.
"Who says I'm a virgin?" I teased, smirking right back at him.
Stiles slammed his foot onto the brakes, turning to glare at me. "Sawyer Sti- Sawyer Hale," he quickly corrected himself. "Do you have something to say to me?"
I laughed, smiling at him. "No - I'm just messing with you, Stiles," I shook my head as he pressed on the gas pedal, still glaring at me.
I gasped. "STILES, LOOK OUT!" I screamed.
Everything seemed to go in slow motion as I grabbed the steering wheel and jerked it to the right, to avoid the deer bolting down the road.
"Oh my God, Sawyer... that was... quick thinking," he muttered. I nodded, eyes wide. "You okay?" I whispered, putting my hand on his shoulder. He nodded, forcing a smile.
"Let's go get Scott."
