2 weeks have passed and every afternoon Katsuki and I would train together, pushing the limits of each other's quirks. Him blasting off explosions bigger than the last one and Me stretching and holding out my forcefields longer than the last one. Everyday we would tire each other out until our bodies would completely drop to the ground. Today as well.
Today is the last day of preparation since tomorrow is the supposed day of the UA Sports Festival... and boy was I nervous.
"KATSUKI! HURRY UP WE HAVE TO PRACTICE AND TRAIN AND PRACTICE AND TRAIN SINCE TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY!" I shouted at the nonchalant Katsuki trailing behind me. Isn't he eager to practice as well? I mean tomorrow IS the big day. I'm so nervous I could puke.
I waited for him to arrive in front of me and as I was about to head to our training grounds in the park, he halted.
"Aren't we gonna-"
"You should rest." Katsuki's gruff voice cut me off. REST?! When tomorrow is finally the day of the sports festival???! Is he serious??
"Katsuki, what the fuck? The UA Sports Festival is tomorrow. Have you forgotten? And besides I'm fi-" I was once again cut off by the ash blonde male since he slightly nudged me off balance. However, due to the strain I was feeling in my legs for the past two weeks, I couldn't bring myself to stand up straight. Shit. I was about to fall but in one fell swoop, Katsuki's hands gripped both of my sides and pulled me towards him.
"You were saying, dumbass?" His monotonous voice and stoic face awakened the butterflies in my stomach. The tightness of his grip upon my waist added to the tension. My heart beat profusely. Katsuki noticed how close we were to each other so he quickly pulled away from me.
"F-Fine. But I don't want to go home yet. How about we eat something first? You know. Get our minds off of tomorrow's happenings." I told him whilst facing away. I just know that if I went home right away, I wouldn't be able to calm myself down.
"No." Katsuki firmly said as he grabbed me by my arm and pulled me towards our neighborhood's direction.
"Please! I know a place." I pleaded him with puppy eyes.
"No." Katsuki replied still pulling me amidst my struggling. And then I thought of a perfect bait for the angry porcupine.
"It has great curry. I think you'll like it." I told him. Once he heard the mention of curry, he stopped and pursed his lips. Aha! I think I might've hit the spot.
"One. Curry. And. Then. Home." He said in defeat as I managed to yank him away.
At the restaurant
"I'm stuffed. Whoo! Tell me that wasn't good Katsuki, tell me." I told him proudly as I rubbed my belly. We pigged out in this restaurant right here for hours finishing plate after plate."No shit. I'm still the best dumbass. I finished more plates than you." Katsuki replied slightly burping between his words. I chuckled at the ash blonde male in front of me.
"And you said we'd only eat one and then head home. Didn't know you like spicy curry this much." I teased him a bit to which he snarled at. Guess I learned something new about Katsuki today. I smiled at that thought.
After checking out, we decided to head home and rest for the day since we have to condition ourselves for tomorrow's events.
I was trailing behind Katsuki when I suddenly had the urge to ask him something. I quickly ran to his side and he flinched
"Katsuki, which Pro Agency would you join, you know, if ever you got the chance to pick?"
The ash blonde remained stoic as ever but if you look really closely, you could see the slight twitching of his eyebrows when he's thinking of something. And I think it's really cute how he does that.
