Chapter 2 - Moving In

That night, all I thought about was Joe. The way he talked, the way he walked, the way he said my name. It just made my heart flutter. His jawline, the way his hair was shaped into perfection. Everything about him was just so beautiful.

I sighed and turned over in my bed. I was never going to get to sleep if I kept thinking about Joe. Go to sleep! I told myself. I just sighed closed my eyes. And soon enough, it was morning.

Today was the one time I would wake up early. I threw off my covers, and practically sprinted over to my wardrobe.

I put on the one outfit that was left in there, and tossed my pajamas into my already overflowing suitcase. I took one last look at my empty room, and grabbed my things, left, and that was it.

I arrived before Joe, so I got choice of room. But I let him have the room with the en suite because I wanted to prove to him how nice I was.

Wow, Caspar. Real humble. I was yanked from my thoughts when I heard the door open upstairs. I ran up and gave him a hug.

Real SUBTLE, Caspar! I yelled at myself. Hopefully he just thought it was a friendly gesture.

I pulled away and slightly chuckled. he did the same, and I could tell that he didn't think too much of the hug.

"Come downstairs, see the rooms. I let you have the one with the en suite." I blushed a little, hopefully he didn't notice.

"Thank you, Caspar." He sounded genuinely pleased. At last I finally did something good.

I smiled shyly, and mumbled a "You're welcome," with my head down. I cleared my throat.

"Well, I think I'm gonna film a video, you should do the same." I suggested.

"Good idea." He replied, with a smile on his face.

We planned out my video together at the dining table, and ordered a pizza for the last scene. Joe was just vlogging, so we didn't especially plan anything for him.

By the end of the video, I was feeling really good. I had prolonged hand-to-hand contact with Joe.

Or, "high five" as some would call it. It was super fun, and I could already tell that all my collabs would be the same, and since we were roommates, this meant that we had many many more to come.
