Imagine Kylo Ren comforting you after receiving unexpected news.

For the past two years, you've been the personal assistant and girlfriend to Supreme Leader, Kylo Ren. The two of you met when Kylo was interviewing you for the job position. He liked your job skills as an assistant from your previous jobs before you joined the First Order. He was very impressed with you maintaining a perfect schedule of showing up on time when needed, bringing him what he wanted, and keeping track of what he needed to do or where he needed to go for important meetings. You were glad that things were working out with you being with Kylo's personal assistant and with him, instead of getting involved in his tantrums.

Eventually, Kylo developed feelings for you and he asked you out on a date with him and you accepted his offer since you too had developed feelings for him. Soon after the first date, you both got to know each a lot more whenever you hung out with Kylo in his private quarters. You even received your first kiss with him during your visit with him in his quarters after he asked you to be not only his personal assistant, but also his girlfriend. You both became inseparable from then on.

Sooner or later, Kylo took out you out on a special date and asked your hand in marriage and you said 'yes'. You were excited to be with Kylo for the rest of your life and to plan the wedding.

But there was thing missing that you wanted in your wedding that you wanted to be there more than ever. Having your parents attend your wedding.

When you were a baby, you were left on the doorstep of an orphanage on the planet Rossu. For so long, you've been hoping that they would come back for you. But they never showed up. The woman in charge of the orphanage that you lived in told you that your parents worked for the Galactic Empire and they dropped you off at the orphanage because they were protecting you from any harm if anyone was looking for those who worked for the Galactic Empire to be annihilated. When you told this to Kylo, he made a promise to you that he and everyone else would do anything they could to find your parents for you.

You and Kylo were leaving the dining hall after eating dinner. So far, it's been a week of finding any information about your parents and nothing hasn't been reported to you or Kylo. As you both were walking down a hallway that was close to Kylo's quarters, you both saw General Hux, looking as if he was waiting for them, with a slight worried look on his face. Kylo made him in charge of making any reports to him or you if anyone had found your parents. You started to think that he had news about your parents and they had found them. "General Hux." Kylo said, as he stopped in his tracks, which made you stop as well, in front of General Hux. "Supreme Leader. Miss (y/l/n)." General Hux simply said, with a nod.

"Has there been any news on my parents, General Hux?" You asked, curiously and a bit anxiously. General Hux seemed like he didn't want to say it since he cares about you like you were his little sister. But he knew he had to say something. He, slowly, shook his head and said, "We haven't found them, (y/n)."

Your heart sank after he said that. You knew what General Hux meant when he said that; the same feeling you had thought of when you were little whenever you thought about them. You looked up at Kylo, who had a disappointed expression on his face. Then, you looked at General Hux one more time before you looked down at the ground and started walking away and headed to Kylo's quarters.

After you left, General Hux approached Kylo and said, "I have searched for every identification and record under the last name (y/l/n) that worked for the Galactic Empire. Nothing had shown up in the computer data since all the remaining records of the Galactic Empire had perished. I hate to think the worst has happened to her parents sometime ago during the last few years, Ren." Kylo looked at General Hux and nodded before he headed to his quarters to check on you.

When he got his quarters, he saw you sitting on the edge of his bed, looking down, with a couple of tears, slowly, running down your cheeks. He walked up to you and sat down beside you. "I have to face the facts, Kylo. My parents are probably dead. I had this feeling deep in my heart knowing that it's true ever since I was little." You said, still looking at the floor. Kylo wrapped his arm around your shoulders and said, "I'm sorry you feel that in your heart, (y/n). It's hard to think about that." "I never wanted to label myself as an orphan, Kylo. I always hoped that they would come back for me. That's all I ever wanted. All I ever wanted in my life was to have a family, Kylo." You said.

"And you do have a family, (y/n)." Kylo said, as he put two of his fingers and tilted your head up so that you were facing him. He wiped the tears off your face with his gloved thumb and said, "Even if your parents aren't alive, you still have a family. You have me. You have the whole First Order." "Even General Hux." You added. Kylo hesitated to agree after you said that. "Yes. And General Hux too. Anyway, (y/n), you're family to me. You've always been family to me ever since I met you. My life even changed when I asked you to marry me. You're all that I have left in my life besides my mother, Leia. Plus, once we get married and have children of our own, we're still gonna be a family."

Hearing Kylo saying all those comforting words to you made you feel better. You may not have your parents with you, but you still have Kylo, General Hux, and the rest of the First Order with you as your family. "Oh, Kylo, I love you so much." You said, as you wrapped your arms around him and embraced him in a tight hug. "I love you too, (y/n)." Kylo said, as he wrapped his arms around you and held you close to him, while he placed a kiss on top of your head.

Moments later, while still in his arms, you looked up at Kylo and said, "You hold a special place in my heart, Kylo. I am so happy to have you in my life and I can't wait to marry you." Kylo tucked a piece of your (h/l) (h/c) hair behind your ear as he smiled down at you. "Same with me, (y/n)." He said, and, then, he leaned down and pressed his lips against yours, with you kissing him back.
