TOLD FROM A MALE PERSPECTIVE.
"There are a lot of reasons I shouldn't have made it this far. There are a lot of things that should have killed me, at least hurt me a little, but they didn't. I'm not religious, and I don't think I ever will be, but I'm grateful to God for this moment. That I'm able to just stand here, look at you, and be with you. All of this . . . And I'm just grateful because of you."
When the world ended, Greyson's life should have ended too. The dead had risen to feast on the living and it was just his luck that the world had decided to force him to live in it. Thrown into a life full of sorrow, pain, and fear, there doesn't seem like much reason to put up a fight.
But that was all before farmer's daughter, Maggie Greene, stepped into Greyson's life and showed him that even when the world's succumbed to darkness, you can still learn to find the light.
