Tristan Bell was a mistake. He shouldn't have been born. As the result of a one night stand, his mother hates him, and his father... doesn't even know he exists. Now, his mother despises the reminder of his father, and tells him how absolutely worthless he is daily, followed with a nice little slap if he's lucky. If he's unlucky? Maybe a mild beating, some cutting, or a burn or two. Luckily for him, school starts up again soon, so he'll be out of his prison-like house for a few hours. Not that life at school is easy. He's the loner, the quiet one, the perfect target for bullies.
Kendra Chase is the only Female Alpha that the werewolf world has seen in centuries. That doesn't exactly mean that she's wanted, either. Her parents wished for a boy. Many werewolves refuse to accept the fact that women are good for more than sitting at home and doing the dishes. But Kendra won't stand for disrespect... or weaknesses. Pressured by the world around her, she strives for perfection in everything she does. If she's not strong enough, she'll die. Or worse, loose her pack. So she puts on a cold front, and never lets anyone see the soft side buried deep within her. If it's still there. She hasn't found her mate yet, and, although she wants him or her, just like every other werewolf, she isn't able to put aside the time to look for her mate. It's all she can do to start building relationships with the humans by going to their high school this fall.
This will be written from both Kendra and Tristan's POV's. Just a heads up.
I'm starting off with this rated as Mature because I don't know where I plan to go with it. I mean, there's mild (so far, anyway) swearing. And abuse. I'm not sure what's happening past that, so bare with me.
