Every year, the American government takes in a specific set of kids for testing, all around the world. These kids happen to have a unique ghost or two haunting them, attached to them - these are called their spirits, and the kids, their hosts. The government take these kids and try to extract the ghosts from them, to learn more about these fascinating phenomenons and how they happen all around the world. After all, humans want to know what happens when you die. It is a burning curiosity that has suffered generation after generation. Madison, when she was just eleven years old, was taken into testing as she was found out to have a spirit by her side. It's there that she learned that the "safe testing" isn't all it's talked up to be, and instead is a prison full of multitudes of torture chambers for young kids. Now, her job is to protect her spirit and her own life. We join Madison when she is sixteen, and a new batch of kids join her. Austyn, Jade, Zaylee, and Aspen join Madison in the attempts to escape this prison. Can they do it? Can they keep their spirits safe?
