No higher definition than our sight
The obvious is beautiful enough
But not enough to ignore
The incomprehensible unseen
Ethereal sights so un-preservable
Yet requiring so many glances at
Lights flashing by as our eyes to take A break from their very chore
Ever moving treasures of the world
Those moments when your hands
All bare, are stuffed in your pockets
As you stroll past moments such
That you can only wish
You could save forever
There's way more of the ungraspable
Than our minds are prepared for
Yet needless to say there is memory
Just the absence of things physical
To rope the memories back out
Maybe you just need to take a pause
And dig right in and pick out such
The moments so very priceless
Like that time when a firend picked out the right diagnosis which even the patient kept secret
Or when another and I spotted Sirius on our stroll and it seemed to flash in an array of hues
Or maybe when you first found a hobby or person or even music that you felt you could embody
It's in your head, but it is also you.
The real you. The one you should stay true to.
No one else sees it and you have no physical proof of it.
All that's left is the lens they use to save the sight and that comes nowhere near the truth.
You do you just like everyone and everything else. You're the only one with the HD version buried deep within, so smile. Love yourself.
