AURORA ODINSDOTTIR

Steve and I got the apartment, and quickly moved in all of our things.

"Hey angel?" I heard Steve call from the kitchen, and I walked in to find him holding two champagne glasses, filled with the sweet liquid.

"I know we can't get drunk off this, but it felt fitting to me." He smiled, handing me a glass and clinking them together.

"You're too sweet, my love." I giggled, taking a sip of the sweet drink, placing the glass on the counter and taking Steve's hands, moving him to he living room.

"What are we doing?" He asked, and I placed his hands on my waist, putting mine on his shoulders.

"Dancing."

"Sounds like fun." Steve smiled, and we swayed to the soft music in the background.

We danced in silence for a while, until I heard his breathing pick up, and I looked up at him.

"Are you okay?" I asked, and Steve nodded, smiling.

"I'm just so lucky." He whispered, moving us gracefully around the room as he kissed my forehead, and I gently kissed him on the lips.

"I'm the lucky one." I responded, making my boyfriend chuckle.

"Do you ever think it's strange?" He asked, and I licked my lips, looking up at Steve.

"Do I think what's strange?" I asked, and Steve chuckled.

"We've been together for years, but we've never really spent that much time together." He pointed out, and I nodded in agreement.

"And the time we have spent together, it's mainly on missions." I added, making Steve smile softly.

"Yeah, but here we are, living together." He finished, and I giggled.

"I don't think it's all that strange." I responded, taking his hand in mine as he spun me, resting his hand back on my hip.

"It might seem a little fast, but the reality is, we have been together for a long time, and all the time we spent apart, I spent aching to come home to you." I explained, making Steve's eyes sparkle as he looked down at me.

"Through everything, all I wanted was you." He said, and I smiled as he kissed my nose, dipping me down.

"Could I say something that might seen sudden?" Steve asked, pulling me back up as we stopped dancing.

"Of course, what is it?" I questioned him, grabbing our glasses off the counter and handing Steve's to him.

"I think I'm in love with you." He said, taking my hand in his and gently kissing the back of it.

"You think?" I asked, taking a sip of my champagne, smiling brightly at my boyfriend.

"I'd say you definitely are, since you deal with the distance when I go on a two year hiatus." I giggled, pulling Steve closer to me as he smirked.

"I am hopelessly in love with you." He whispered, kissing my forehead, and I placed my hand on his cheek.

"I have good news for you, my love." I responded, pulling Steve in for a long kiss.

Once we pulled apart, he wrapped his arms around my waist, looking interested.

"What would that be, darling?" Steve asked, and I motioned for him to come closer, which he did.

When his ear was next to my lips, I smiled to myself.

"I am irretrievably in love with you, Steve Rogers."

He reacted immediately, wrapping his arms around my waist, accidentally knocking our glasses over, and spinning me around in a circle.

"You've made me the happiest man alive." Steve grinned, and we shared a quick kiss before he made a move to clean up the skilled champagne.

"Hey, do you know what this calls for?" I asked cheekily, and Steve looked up at me from the carpet.

"What?"

"This calls for some champagne." I joked, walking over to the fridge and grabbing the bottle along with two glasses, making Steve laugh.

"I think it definitely does." He responded, throwing away the glasses and paper towel, before grabbing another glass of champagne from me.

I jumped onto the counter, sitting comfortably with my legs dangling off the side, while Steve stood a foot away, sipping his drink.

"Hey, what are you doing all the way over there?" I asked, and a goofy grin crept onto my boyfriend's face as he moved closer to me, stepping inbetween my legs.

"Better?" He asked, making me nod and sip my champagne.

"Much."

"I'm glad." Steve smiled, and I placed one of my hands on his shoulders as we fell into a comfortable silence, the only sound being the soft music in the background.

I could get used to this.

"Frigga would've liked you." I thought out loud, and Steve hummed.

"Who?" He asked politely, and I smiled.

"My mother."

"Yeah?" Steve smiled, and I shook my head at the thought of my parents.

I miss them.

"Odin hated the idea of any of us dating mortals." I said to Steve, and he motioned for me to go on.

"Luckily for him, we didn't do it for a long time, until Thor met Jane, and I met you."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah." I smiled, giggling to myself.

"Odin hated Jane, you should feel lucky you never met him. He was very set in his ways."

"I'm sure a God running an entire civilization would be pretty strict." Steve smiled, and I nodded.

"Frigga was the opposite. She just wanted us to be happy, you know?" I said to Steve, who stayed silent so I could continue.

"She loved us all unconditionally, all three of us. Even though two of us weren't her real children, she always treated us like we were." I smiled fondly at the thought of my mother, making Steve smile.

"Even Loki?" He asked softly, and I sighed.

"Especially Loki." I said, my heart sinking at the thought of him, the thought or Frigga, and the thought of Odin.

Even Heimdall.

"My brother died a hero, you know." I smiled at Steve, who nodded.

The last time he saw Loki was when we met, and we both knew that.

"What happened between you all, afterwards?" My boyfriend asked, and I smiled.

"We were mad at Loki for quite some time, but he redeemed himself and faked his death."

"I remember you telling me he died when you came back to help with Ultron." Steve licked his lips, and I laughed, nodding.

"We thought he did. He actually banished Odin and took his place, so he could rule Asgard while Thor and I were out trying to maintain the peace."

"You never told me that." Steve pointed out, making me sigh.

"It happened after I left, before I came to Wakanda."

"I forgot I never told you what happened on that second two year break." Steve said, running a hand through his hair, and my heart sank a little.

"Do you want to talk about it?" I asked, and he nodded, but held his hand up.

"You first." Steve insisted, and I smiled softly.

"Thor, Loki and I found out through Odin that we had an older sister. Hela was imprisoned due to her evergrowing evil appetites."

"How many children did Odin have?" Steve asked, and I laughed, shrugging.

"Biologically, Thor and Hela. Loki and I were adopted, but I only know of the four of us." I said, and he nodded.

"Hela broke Thor's hammer, it turns out, Mjolnir was made for her." I said, and Steve clicked his tongue.

"That explains the new axe."

"Loki, Thor and I ended up fighting Hela and losing, and we ended up in Sakaar, where we found Banner."

"How did Bruce get to Sakaar?" Steve asked, and I imitated a plane.

"Quinjet after Ultron." I said, making him nod.

"We ended up working together to get back to Asgard with the help of a Valkyrie, she's Asgard's military."

Steve wrapped his arms around my waist, and I continued.

"We ended up causing Ragnarok, destroying Asgard to destroy Hela." I said, making Steve gasp softly.

"Why?"

"She drew her power from Asgard, so it was the only way to defeat her." I explained, and Steve nodded, following me.

"That brought you to the ship, where Thanos first appeared?" He asked, making me smile softly.

"Yeah."

"I'm sorry." Steve whispered, knowing that was when Loki died, and he pulled me in for a hug, which I gratefully accepted.

"What happened to you while I was gone?" I asked, wiping a year away, and Steve looked a little upset.

"We had a falling out."

"How?" I asked, and I clicked my fingers.

"Was it you and Tony?" I asked, making Steve look surprised.

"How did you guess that?" My boyfriend asked, and I shrugged.

"He wasn't in Wakanda, and there was too much tension at the base to ignore, I knew something happened between you two, I just didn't think it would be that bad." I said, but Steve shook his head.

"It was that bad."

"Oh no." I whispered, and Steve took a step back from me, moving to sit on the couch while I followed him.

"We were faced with a decision to sign or not sign some accords, basically surrendering out freedom as Avengers to the government. Tony, Vision, Nat and Rhodey signed them. Clint, Wanda, Sam and I didn't."

"And that drove you apart?" I asked, but Steve shook his head.

"It definitely created tension, but that's not what ruined our friendship." He said, and I stayed silent, waiting until he was ready to tell me.

"Bucky was the prime suspect in a bombing that killed King T'Chaka, the King of Wakanda, but he didn't do it."

"Yeah?" I asked, and Steve nodded.

"I took Bucky to try and get the man who set him up, but Secretary Ross tasked Tony with catching us, and bringing us to justice, since he'd signed the Accords."

"Oh." I sighed, making Steve shrug.

"Tony put together a team, so did I." He said, looking at me.

"Tony, Nat, Rhodey, and Vision recruited T'Challa, and a kid from Queens called Peter."

"Peter?" I asked, and Steve nodded.

"He is, was, Spiderman."

"How did he die?" I asked softly, making Steve sigh.

"The snap."

"I'm so sorry." I placed my hand on his shoulder, but Steve just shook his head.

"I barely knew the kid, but Tony was devastated."

"Would you like to go on?" I asked, and he nodded.

"I got a team with Bucky, Clint, Wanda, Sam and a guy called Scott. Ant man."

"How did that go?" I asked, and Steve shrugged.

"Tony's team ended up getting everyone except Bucky and I, but eventually, Tony realised Bucky was innocent, and came to help us."

"That's good." I smiled, but Steve shook his head.

"No. Tony found out Bucky killed his parents when he was under the influence from Hydra, and I had to stop him."

"You and Tony had a battle?" I asked, making Steve nod.

"I won, and I left Tony defenceless, to die. I knew he wouldn't die though, but I still felt terrible about it."

I squeezed his shoulder softly, and Steve chugged the rest of his champagne.

"After that, we all went into hiding, and then Thanos came and Bruce told me you'd died."

"I'm not surprised he would've thought that." I sighed, and Steve pulled me into his lap, hugging me.

"It's all over now, though." He whispered, and I nodded, kissing his forehead softly.

"It's time to rest."
