Jaemin was walking down the hallway, his backpack straps held tightly in his hands. He jumped when he felt hands hit his shoulders.
"hey loser what's up?!"
Jaemin growled in annoyance.
"oh my god chenle! What is wrong with you?"
"dude, I can't answer that, so anyways what are you doing tonight?"
Jaemin pushed his hair back as he stopped in front of his locker.
"um, I don't know probably study with renjun, why?"
Chenle rolled his eyes at his best friend.
"dude, it's Friday and your gonna study all night?! What kind of teenager are you?"
Jaemin grabbed a handful of textbooks and rolled his eyes at chenle.
"a teenager who wants to get into college." He responded as he began walking to first period.
"okay well you better tell renjun you're cancelling."
Jaemin set his books down on the desk and opened his notebook to a clean page uncapping a pen with his mouth.
" why would I do that?"
Chenle groaned as he plopped onto the desk next to Jaemin.
"cuz, you are coming with me to johnny's party."
Jaemin almost choked on the cap in his mouth. He spit it out onto the desk and looked at chenle with wide eyes.
"what!?"
Chenle crossed his arms with pride.
"yep, I told him you were coming so you're coming."
Jaemin furrowed his brows in annoyance. Before he slammed his head on the desk.
"Zhong chenle I hate you so much."
"yeah but you're gonna thank me in about three seconds." Chenle said with a smirk.
Jaemin rose his head up looking at chenle.
"why?"
Chenle winked at him as he got up out of his seat.
Jaemin looked at him confused as to where he was going.
Just then, lee Jeno walked into the classroom with a warm smile on his face.
Jaemin watched in horror as his freakish best friend approached him.
"hi Jeno! There's an empty seat over there next to Jaemin!"
Jaemin wanted to disappear. He shot an angry glare at chenle to which chenle responded with blowing a kiss towards his angry best friend.
"oh cool, thanks chenle." Jeno smiled as he walked through the row to get to the empty desk.
Jaemin felt his whole face heat up and he knew his ears had turned bright red.
"hey, it's cool if I sit here right?"
Jaemin was caught off guard as Jeno spoke to him. At first, he couldn't make words come out of his mouth. He just stared at the by next to him.
"uh... Jaemin?"
Jaemin snapped out of it and look at Jeno.
"oh um... yes. sorry I uh, yes you can sit here." Jaemin mentally slapped himself in the face for stuttering so much.
"cool, thanks." Jeno smiled warmly as he began unpacking his materials for the class.
Jaemin turned to face the wall face palming. Suddenly he was hit with a balled-up piece of paper. He unraveled it and immediately recognized chenle's handwriting.

Jaemin read the note and flashed a look at chenle who was now seated two seats in front of Jeno.
Jaemin balled up the paper and shoved it in his pocket.
He mouthed "I'm gonna kill you" to chenle and caught Jeno in his peripheral.
Jeno stifled a giggle as he watched Jaemin threaten his best friend.
Jaemin saw him looking at him and immediately turned to the side hiding his quickly reddening cheeks from Jeno.
Jeno smiled at the flustered boy taking notice in how bright red jaemin's ears got.
Chenle looked at Jeno and gave him a thumbs up.
As soon as the bell rang, Jaemin bolted out of the classroom to avoid any interaction with Jeno.
Chenle chased him following him down the hall towards their second period.
"chenle what the fuck are you doing?!"
Chenle crossed his arms jutting his hip out slightly.
"oh, what's the problem? I'm helping you since you're too much of a coward to talk to him!"
Jaemin pinched the bridge of his nose.
"chenle... I appreciate the gesture but please fucking stop it! He's gonna think I'm a huge dork!"
Chenle laughed.
"Jaemin, you are a huge dork! And so, what? Wouldn't you want Jeno to know the real you?"
"chenle! He doesn't like me. so, you can stop embarrassing me all the time." Jaemin said sternly before he walked off down the hall to their second class.
Chenle shook his head following the other.
Jaemin ignored chenle during second block until they were dismissed for lunch. He walked into the cafeteria and found renjun, mark, and haechan sitting at their usual table. He and chenle joined the table in silence.
"woah! Why the glum faces?" haechan said as he continuously fiddled with the corner of renjun's book.
Renjun angrily yanked his book away from haechan adjusting his square-framed glasses.
"yeah, did you guys fight or something?" mark chimed in taking a sip of his orange juice.
"no, we didn't fight, but nana's being a huge idiot." Chenle said reaching across the table and grabbing a handful of haechan's fries.
"I am not! You are being a huge dick!" Jaemin snapped back crossing his arms and glaring at chenle.
"woah woah, you two calm down. What happened?" renjun said softly.
"ugh chenle won't stop embarrassing me around... you know who."
Haechan raised an eyebrow.
"Jeno?" he said a little louder than necessary.
Jaemin smacked haechan's arm.
"dude!"
"okay, I'm sorry. Him ?"
"yes, him."
"dude, he's totally into you!"
"no, he is not! You all are crazy!"
"Jaemin are you kidding? Have you seen the way he looks at you!?" mark chimed in with a giggle.
Chenle had a smug look on his face.
"see!? I told you!" chenle teased smacking the side of jaemin's head.
Jaemin looked at renjun for help.
"junnie? Can you help me out here?"
Renjun looked at Jaemin and stifled a laugh.
"nana, I'm gonna say one thing... you are the most oblivious person on the planet."
The whole table started laughing as jaemin's mouth hung open in shock.
"okay sooo, you are going to that party, right?" chenle said.
Jaemin thought for a second hesitating, but ultimately giving in to chenle's bickering.
"fine... I'll go to the party, but nothing's gonna happen!"
Jaemin was freaking out about the party. He wasn't super close with johnny and would only know his friends and Jeno.
The gang was already dressed and prepared for the party; they all were piled on jaemin's bed as they impatiently waited for Jaemin to get ready.
"oh my god nana, it's just a party! You're not meeting the queen of England!" haechan teased as he layed his head against mark's chest scrolling on his phone.
"donghyuck, do me a favor?" Jaemin called from the closet.
"sure, what?" haechan called back.
"shut the fuck up." Jaemin snapped back as he threw a pile of clothes on the ground.
Mark laughed hysterically at haechan's reaction which caused chenle to laugh too.
They heard Jaemin groan in frustration from the closet.
Renjun stood up and entered the closet to help Jaemin.
"nana calm down. I will help you okay?"
Jaemin nodded and let renjun sift through his clothing.
He threw a white button up on the bed and crouched down to go through his dresser drawers.
He grabbed a pair of blue skinny jeans and a belt and threw those as well and finally grabbed a pair of black vans and white socks.
"there, get changed." Renjun said exiting the closet.
Jaemin grabbed the outfit and went into the bathroom to get changed.
He came out a few minutes later and the boys all playfully gasped at his look.
"dude! You look hot!" haechan yelled earning a slap from mark.
"really?"
"uh, yeah! Now we gotta go or we will be the most "fashionably late" people ever." Chenle said as he ran out of the room, the rest of the boys following.
They arrived at johnny seo's house fifteen minutes later. The house was full of drunk, sweaty teenagers, most of them the boys didn't even recognize.
A tall boy with floppy brown hair approached them holding a tray of red solo cups.
"guys! You made it! Here have a drink." Johnny handed each of them a cup with a drunk smile.
"thanks, johnny, oh hey, have you seen Jeno anywhere?" chenle asked taking a swig of his beverage.
"oh yeah! He's over there with Lucas and Yuta." Johnny pointed in the direction of the living room.
The gang thanked him and left towards the living room where most of the guests were.
The boys awkwardly greeted the others, Jaemin not making eye contact with Jeno.
"hey Jaemin! Glad you could make it!" Jeno smiled as he made his way to the smaller.
"huh? Oh! Oh yeah um, well, parties aren't really my... thing usually... so" he was stuttering like he always does around Jeno.
Jeno couldn't help but giggle at the flustered boy.
Jaemin noticed this obviously and felt embarrassed.
"w... what's so funny?" he asked shakily.
"nothing, just... you're cute." Jeno smirked before he took a swig of his drink.
"what? Cute? I don't... I mean, not really."
Jeno reached over and ruffled jaemin's hair.
"relax nana."
Jaemin froze for a second. How the hell did he know his nickname?
"chenle told me. it suites you." Jeno said with a smile as he watched jaemin's ears go bright red.
"listen up people! This is a Johnny Seo party, and it can't be a johnny Seo party without a game of truth or dare!!!!!" johnny screamed as he stood on his coffee table.
"everyone sit in a circle! Come on!" johnny hopped to the floor and joined the forming circle.
"alright! Who' first?"
Yuta raised his hand fast.
"yutaaaa my man!" johnny said slowly becoming more intoxicated.
"you bruh, I pick you. Truth or dare?"
Johnny laughed.
"dare. Obviously."
Yuta smirked and looked around the room.
"I dare you to make out with ten for three minutes!"
The crowd was a mix of gasps and laughter.
Ten looked around at the crows and then at johnny.
Johnny shot him a look asking him if it was okay.
Ten smiled as he crawled across the floor towards johnny. He sat in Johnny's lap and connected their lips in a rough, sloppy kiss.
The crowd clapped wildly as the boys continued to aggressively make out in the middle of the floor.
They broke apart at the 3-minute mark and went back to their spots.
The next three were also dares that resulted in mark giving haechan a lap dance, taeil prank calling a random number in the phone book, and Lucas removing most of his clothing.
"alright next up is chenle!" Lucas called out.
Chenle had a devilish smirk on his face as he shot a look to renjun and haechan.
"Jeno!" chenle called out which caused Jaemin to look at him with a worried expression.
"Jeno laughed sitting up and looking at chenle."
Chenle made eye-contact with Jaemin. Jaemin shot him a death glare rapidly shaking his head no.
"I choose dare!" Jeno said which made Jaemin begin to panic.
He mouthed "don't you dare" to chenle and chenle just laughed.
"okay, I dare you to kiss Jaemin!"
Jaemin's heart stopped.
Mark, haechan, johnny, and Yuta all made loud oohs and ahhs to tease the two boys.
Jaemin's entire face went red his hands becoming sweaty.
Jeno crawled across the floor to Jaemin and sat in front of him.
He looked at Jaemin and sensed he was nervous.
"he leaned forward slightly and whispered.
"is this okay nana?"
Jaemin was freaking out. Of course, he wanted to kiss Jeno but not in front of everyone. He also didn't wanna back out like a coward in front of all the cool kids either. He sat for a second before he looked at Jeno.
He took a breath and nodded his head yes.
Jeno smiled crawling closer to him. He placed his hand on jaemin's cheek and moved his face closer to jaemin's.
Jaemin closed his eyes and tilted his head upwards slightly.
Jeno placed his lips on jaemin's very gently not moving his mouth and just giving Jaemin a small peck to make him more comfortable.
Jeno pulled away but his face was still very close to Jaemin's.
Jaemin's eyes fluttered open and he looked into Jeno's eyes his brain fuzzy.
"are you okay?" Jeno whispered as he looked at Jaemin.
Suddenly Jaemin grabbed the collar of Jeno's shirt and slammed his lips against Jeno's again, this time more aggressive.
The crowd cheered around them, chenle and haechan screeching loudly in excitement. Renjun sat with a smile on his face and Jeno's friends were going nuts in the corner.
Jaemin moved his lips against Jeno's as he kissed him passionately.
Jeno wrapped his strong arms around jaemin's body pulling him close against him as the kiss deepened.
When they pulled apart the crowd cheered and clapped making Jaemin snap out of the moment.
"Jeno i- sorry... I don't know why I did that... I'm sorry I uh. I just- "
Jeno laughed before he pecked jaemin's lips quickly to get him to stop talking.
Jaemin froze, his ears going bright red.
"I've wanted to do that for a long time." Jeno said with a smile and lustful eyes.
"wait... really?" Jaemin said dumbfounded.
Suddenly chenle jumped up from the crowd.
"I fucking told you Jaemin!!" he began laughing uncontrollably mark and haechan laughing with him.
"I've liked you for a long time Jaemin, but I wasn't sure if you felt the same way."
Jaemin let a smile curl his lips. He wrapped his arms around Jeno's neck and looked into his eyes.
"I like you too Jeno... I've been crazy about you for six years..."
Jeno smiled wrapping his arms around jaemin's small waist.
"well I'm sorry I didn't act sooner."
Jaemin giggled a wave of happiness washing over him.
"so, will you be my boyfriend Jaemin?" Jeno asked with sparkly eyes.
Jaemin's eyes widened in surprise. When he finally realized what he said a wide smile spread across his face.
"of course, I'll be your boyfriend!" he said excitedly.
Jeno smiled as he brough Jaemin into a tight hug kissing his cheek and temple.
"Halle-fucking-luyah!! It took you guys long enough Jesus Christ." Chenle piped up causing the crowd to laugh.
Jaemin shot him a look but this time it was a "thank you" look instead of an angry one.
Chenle smiled at him giving him a thumbs up.
The rest of the night, Jaemin and Jeno cuddled on johnny's couch as they watched jaemin's dumbass friends get more and more drunk.
By the end of the night, Jeno and Jaemin walked out of the party, hand in hand with hope in their hearts.
"I'll see you tomorrow?" Jeno said rubbing jaemin's knuckles.
"mmhmm." Jaemin smiled.
Jeno leaned down and pressed a kiss to jaemin's forehead.
"goodnight nana."
"goodnight Jeno."
