It was already last day before Christmas break. It was Slughorns party today. Yesterday Louis was so zoned out all the time. We had our awkward moments like everyday. I'm probably overthinking this right now, but why did I smell him in Amortentia when I don't like him?
"And I'm the one zoning out."- Louis said as he came towards me.
"Surprised I'm the one who woke up first."- I said.
"Sure about that?"- He asked as he raised his one eyebrow.
"What did you do?"- I asked.
"Your hair looks nice today."- He said as he put his hand on my head while his hand was full of snow.
"No you did not."- I said looking down.
"It's gonna dry."- He said laughing. "Eventually."
"It's gonna dry."- I said picking snow from my hair and putting it on his head. "Eventually."
"Okay fine we're at the same level now."- Louis said removing snow from his hair.
We walked to Great Hall and sat down. I saw Hermione talking to Harry and they left the hall few minutes after.
"Should we follow them?"- Louis asked.
"They are probably going to library."- I said.
"What a coincidence we are going too!"- He said pulling me up.
"I can't with you."- I laughed as we were walking towards library.
"But I am the chosen one."- We heard Harry saying as Hermione hit him with a book. "Ok, sorry."
"Hermione."- I said as we walked in front of them. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine. I don't care with who he goes on the dance or who he kisses."- She said.
"Doesn't seem like that."- Louis said as I punched his shoulder to shut up.
"Are you two going together?"- Hermione asked.
"Obviously."- Harry said.
"We are."- Louis said.
"What's wrong with Malfoy?"- Hermione asked.
"He probably did something bad."- Harry said.
"We don't know. He just says he's fine and won't tell us."- I said.
"As I said."- Harry said. "He did something bad."
"He didn't Harry."- I said. "He wouldn't."
"See you two on dance."- Hermione said. "Before you start arguing with Harry about Malfoy again."
We left the library while Hermione and Harry stayed there.
"Didn't even ask me about dance."- I said as we were walking.
"Okay then."- Louis said as he turned me around. "Y'n would you accept to be my partner for the dance?"
"Gladly."- I said smiling.
"Proposed to each other?"- George came behind us.
"Mhm."- I said as we continued walking.
"Where's the ring?"- George asked.
"On Louis's hand."- I said pointing to his hand.
"Give it to each other."- George said.
Louis took one ring from his finger and handed it to me. It was the one his mom gave to him in 4th year.
"Happy?"- I asked.
"Never been more happier."- George said. "See you two."
"Byeee."- Louis said.
"Here."- I said removing ring from my finger.
"We're already divorcing?"- Louis asked pretending to be shocked.
"It's the one your mom gave it to you."- I said.
"It's fine you can keep it."- He said.
"You sure?"- I asked.
"100%."- He said.
We walked to our common room and sat on couch. We talked for a little and we had to go to our dorms to get ready for the party.
I picked out black sparkly dress and did my hair. I didn't dress up too much because this was just a small hang out between everyone before Christmas break starts.
"Are you done!"- Louis yelled from common room.
"Coming!"- I yelled as I sprayed vanilla perfume on me.
I climbed to the common room and Louis was wearing black suit. We're matching again I guess.
"Matching again I see."- He said.
"Reading my mind."- I said.
"Can't forget me."- Draco came behind us.
"Draco!"- We both said at the same time.
"Where have you been all the year?"- I asked.
"I still have some unfinished business and I can't tell anyone because you will probably hate me."- He said.
"It can't be that bad."- Louis said.
"It is really."- Draco said. "Besides I had no choice."
"You're talking like you killed someone."- I said as Draco froze.
"Anyways how have you two been?"- He asked completely ignoring what I said as we were walking.
"Alright."- Louis said.
"Anything happened?"- He asked.
"Nope and won't Draco."- I said.
"Okay see ya two."- He said as he separated from us.
"Where are you going?"- Louis asked.
"Uh I have to do something."- He said as he left.
"Well he was in a good mood I guess."- I said.
I could see Louis was worried about Draco too. He has been avoiding everyone and lurking alone somewhere everyday. He barely talked to us anymore. I knew we haven't done anything, but what is that serious that he can't tell us?
We entered the party and saw Harry and Hermione talking. Hermione moved away from Harry as boy started talking to Harry. Not a second later he threwed up and Snape said.
"You just earned yourself a week of detention."- Snape said as Harry tried to walk away. "Not so fast Potter."
Louis couldn't hold a laugh and Snape turned around to us.
"Y'l and Patridge."- He said. "Would you like to join the detention too?"
"No thanks professor."- I said.
"Then behave."- He said.
"Will do."- Louis said as we turned around.
"You idiot."- I said as we were walking.
"It was funny okay."- Louis said.
"I found this boy lurking around in upper corridors."- Professor said to Snape while holding Draco by arm.
Snape came towards him and whispered something to them and he let Draco go. Draco and Snape walked out of the room.
"What is this all about?"- Louis asked.
"Hello you two."- Fred said while him and George came towards us.
"What's that above you two?"- George asked.
Me and Louis looked up and saw mistletoe above us.
"You must be kidding."- I said.
"Completely serious."- Fred said.
"We are not doing this."- Louis said to them.
"You can't say no to this and you know it."- George said smirking.
"Louis turn your head a little."- I said.
"What?"- He asked confusingly.
"Just do it."- I said as he turned his head to right a little. I kissed Louis on the cheek while Fred and George look disappointed.
"That was not a kiss."- Fred said.
"You didn't say I had to kiss him on the lips."- I said while Louis laughed.
"We have to go now."- Louis said pulling my hand.
"Better luck next time boys."- I said. "Where are we going?"
"We're gonna see what's wrong with Draco and Snape."- Louis said as we were behind a wall listening to Draco and Snape.
"I am the chosen one to do this task."- Draco said.
"I made a unbreakable vow Draco."- Snape said.
After that it was just silence.
"Respect privacy."- Snape said flicking his wand.
I grabbed Louis by shirt and pulled him towards me. Spell hit the wall that was inch from us. Snape continued talking to Draco while me and Louis were one inch away.
"This is nice."- Louis whispered.
"One wrong move and we are dead Louis."- I whispered.
"Nice eyes Y'n."- He whispered.
"Shut it."- I whispered smiling.
We were waiting for Snape and Draco to go and they walked away 10 minutes later.
"This is like 5th time we almost died this half of the year."- I said as we moved away from each other and started walking.
"At least we didn't kiss like past 2 years."- Louis said.
"All of those were your fault."- I said laughing.
"Sorry to have asthma."- He said laughing.
"Should've had your inhaler with you all the time."- I said.
"What if I wanted for you to kiss me?"- He asked.
"Very funny Louis."- I said as he awkwardly laughed it off.
We walked back to our common room and I was walking towards my dorm.
"Y'n."- Louis said as I turned around. "Do you wanna come to my house on Christmas break for a little?"
"Wouldn't miss seeing your sisters."- I said as we left to our dorms.
I layed in my bed and my head was full of thoughts. Why didn't Louis say "I'm kidding" like he always did. Why didn't I wanted to answer Ron's question when he asked me do I like Louis. Why am I even questioning myself about my relationship with Louis?"
