"Ahhh. Here she is." Ash says walking over to me. I had paused after walking through the doors. Captivated by the grand room. Tearing my glaze away from a very alluring statue I walk forward to meet Ash halfway.

"Elders." He bows his head after she addresses them. "May I introduce to you my bride? Cora this is Mare, Zeke, Shane, Apollo, Zylar, and Zack. Elders this is Cora, my bride."
He sounds so proud everytime he introduces me as his bride. My heart warms and I'm a puddle at his feet. No ones ever been that proud to claim me before.
I courtesy to the elders. Keeping my glaze lowered out of respect but also fear too. They were scary. Two of them more so than the others. They were all attractive too but not in a sexual way. They had an other worldly beauty.
"It is true. You are his bride?" One of the scarier ones hisses. Shame or Shane I think his name is. I flinch slightly at the power in his tone. Not wanting to seem weak in front of them I straighten my spin and stand taller.
"Yes. I am his and he is mine." I say confidently and a bit possessively.
Ash pulls me in closer to his side. He wraps a possessive yet comforting arm around my waist. I've known him what a day now? And I was already fallen at his feet. I was in love with this vampire more than I thought was possible. That scared me more than the vampires in front of me.
"Hmm. We'd like to hear your story. We want to try to understand how it is possible you've become a vampire when no other female has been able to turn for a millennium." The vampire who talked this time wasn't as scary. He had a very strong Greek accent though. I almost couldn't understand him. I'm pretty certain his name is Apollo.
As I start to tell them about my kidnapping the elder who's name is Zeke stops me. "No, love. Start from the beginning. Who you are born to and go from there."
So I started from there. They kept interrupting me every now and again and it was kind of annoying. The more I talked to them the more they became less scary.
"So you were born of two werewolves yet you did not have the werewolf gene?"
"That's right." I agree nodding my head.
"Hmm. Maybe that is it."
"What is it?"
"It is female beings who are born dormant. Werewolves born without the gene. I wonder if a witch born without magic could be turned as well. And so forth."
They were now talking amongst themselves. Completely ignoring Ash and I unless they needed clarification on something. Why they thought I would know anything was beyond me. I didn't know shit about shit. I was just learning about vampires myself.
"Do you think that is it, my sweet?" I was pulled out of my own thoughts by the question. I focused on the vampire who asked me.
Zeke is his name. He was one of the scarier vamps. He was otherworldly beautiful too like the rest of them.
Ash must of sensed something that I didn't because he shifted me to the front of him. He wrapped one arm around my waist and the other just under my breasts. I relaxed into his chest as he rested his chin on top of my head.
"Your guess is as good as mine. I am just learning about vampires and being one. I know nothing about how to become one. Though that does make sense except when it comes to human females. What defect would they need to have to become a vampire?"

"One we will consider together, my sweet." Zeke speaks up.
"Look, I respect you all as my elders and everything but I'm losing my patience with every one of you addressing my bride with a fucking pet name. Her name is Cora."
When Zeke stood up I broke Ash's hold and crouched in front of him. I bare my fangs in warning. I would protect my mate with my life. I didn't care how powerful or scary these fucking vampires were.
Zeke blinked in surprise and Ash placed a hand on my shoulder. "You would truly go up against me to defend your mate? As powerful as I am?"
"Yes. I will never allow anyone to hurt him. He is mine." I hiss aggressively at him.
He is no longer giving off vibes of violence so I straighten out of my protective stance. I started to relax my guard when he smiles and Zylar moved to attack.
I punched out at him. Easily sending him flying across the room. I had kept half my attention on Zeke so I was ready for his attack as well. I land a few punches on him. I watch as his fist is descending to my face. Easily dodging it I kick out at him. Sending him flying across the room as well.
Next thing I know I'm taking on Zeke, Zylar, and now Zach. I kept up with them quite easily. Avoiding all their strikes and delivering my own. I knew if I wanted to end them I could but they weren't trying to hurt Ash. They were only testing me. Seeing what my abilities were.
As the three of them started to put real effort in with no success against me, I couldn't help but to chuckle at them. "That all you got?" I taunt.
"Enough!" Mare roars.
Immediately we all stop. I don't relax my guard though. The three males return to take their seats as I turn to seek out Ash. He was standing to the side with his arms crossed against his chest. When my eyes meet his, his are shining bright with pride, love, possession, and adoration. My heart studdered. I give him a charming smile as I walk over to him.
"Wow. I've never seen anything like that before. No one's ever been able to take one elder on and here you are taking on three. And you weren't even in offense, only defense." His voice is filled with wonder.
"He's right. You didn't attack back. You just defended. I wonder what kind of damage you could of caused if you had."
I look over at Mare. They're right I hadn't attacked any of them. I was only defending Ash at first and then just fooling around. But they weren't really trying to hurt me either. I could tell they were only testing me up until the end that is.
"They weren't really trying to hurt me. They were just testing me. They weren't a real threat." I wasn't going to say I could of easily taken care of them if they had been. I don't want them to see me more as a threat as they probably do now.
"You could have though. If they had been a real threat to you or Ash you could of easily destroyed all three of them with no problem." I didn't confirm or deny it.
"That's all for now. You may leave." That was the first time Apollo talked. He was the scariest vamp out of all of them so I didn't mind him not talking.
I lace Ash's fingers with mine and tug him towards the door. Just before I'm fully through the threshold I glance back at the six elders.
Zeke was looking at me like I was his next meal. I shuddered when his eyes meet mine. He disgustingly licks his lips. I can't keep the disgust from showing on my face. Thankfully the door finally closes behind me, shutting him out.
I had mixed feelings about how I felt about these elders. The knowledge that I can easily end any one of them gives me comfort. They weren't as scary as they first were when I entered the room. Besides Apollo of course.
"Where are we going now?"
"You'll see baby." Ash gives me a mysterious smile as he leads me out of the house.
We pass a beautiful garden as we walk to the side of the house. He's leading me to the forest. "I'm not wearing the right kind of shoes to go into the woods babe."
He stops and looks down at my feet. Smirking he quickly picks me up. He starts walking again while holding me bridal style. I lay my head against his chest, listening to his heartbeat.
The next thing I know Ash is waking me up. "I'm sorry baby. I didn't even think how tired you probably are. I promise we won't stay here long than we'll go back so we can get proper sleep in a proper bed."
I glance around to see where we are and my breath catches. Wow. This place is beautiful. He brought me to a water hole and it had the most beautiful waterfall I've ever seen. I've actually never seen one in person. Just in pictures and on tv.
He slowly lowers me to the ground. As soon as my feet touch the ground I bend to take my heels off. "Wow this place is beautiful Ash."
"Not as beautiful as you are babygirl." The seriousness in his voice caused me to roll my eyes. When I turn back to look at him I see he's already taken his shirt off and his shoes and was now working on his pants. I bite my bottom lip.
