Kara sighed as she soared through the skies.
It had been a week, and the intensity of the Black Mercy hadn't worn off, and she could not get over it.
All she could think about was his version of 'paradise', and Halk Kar's confession, of course.
The entire week, she was barely able to talk to Mon-El.
She missed him.
He was the first and only person that could make her genuinely smile, and the first person that she would be able to be her true self around.

Mon-El smiled sadly at a photo of him, Kara and Halk Kar on Krypton.
After he had heard the conversation between Kara and Halk Kar, he was distraught. Following them the next day did not help.
"You asked to meet?"
"Yeah . . . I really need to talk to you about what you said yesterday."
"What . . . what did you want to say?"
Mon-El turned away, unwilling to listen to her words.
Their voices turned to a low whisper, one that even he could not hear.
"I feel so bad . . . but please meet me at my loft every day this week."
"Sure."
He knew what had happened.
Upset, he flew away.
As he walked, hands in his pockets, Mon-El heaved a sigh. After all that . . . all that they have been through . . . she still didn't share his feelings.
Kara was the one person he would ever truly love . . . but they would likely never share a day together . . . just the two of them . . . not as friends, but as lovers.
As he stared out over the coast, Mon-El drew in a breath sharply and wiped his tears. No point crying over it now.

Kara felt upset. Who knows what Mon-El is feeling right now . . .
This was the last day she would need to meet Halk Kar . . . and it was another big and momentous day.
This was the day she would finally ask him out.
She pulled out her phone and sent him a quick text.
Please meet me at my place at 8pm.

With that, she walked to answer the knocking on the door.

As they laid out everything, Kara suddenly heard, in her ears, Supergirl? Are you there?
She tapped her earpiece, "Yeah, I'm here."
Alex's voice on the other end spoke, "Oh, good. I knew that you wouldn't destroy National City."
"Sorry, what? Why on Earth would you think I'm destroying the city I live in?"
"Well . . . there's someone that looks like you and she's rampaging National City . . . I need you to come down now."
"Oh, okay . . . is there anything else?"
"There is a . . . Mon-El lookalike as well . . . "
"Oh . . . great."
As the line went silent, she turned to Halk Kar. "I have to handle some . . . superhero business. Do you think you could help finish the setting up of the place for later?"
He nodded, and Kara pulled on her suit, flying in the direction of the chaos.

As Supergirl pulled herself to a halt, she looked to her right. Valor.
He looked on, refusing to meet her gaze. A pang of guilt struck her heart. Why was she feeling this way? Why was Mon-El avoiding her?
"Let's get this over and done with, Supergirl."
"D-did . . . did you receive my message?"
"Yes. Now let's focus on the task at hand."
"Alright."
He stared ahead, at the two beings who were clearly copies of them.
She had faced such a threat before, even if she wasn't sure if Mon-El had. She looked to the beings.
It was cloudy and dark, as it had been before, and Kara noted that they had only attacked when there was little to no sunlight.
If kryptonite strengthened Bizarro-Supergirl, then Earth's yellow sun would weaken her. She didn't want to kill her like she did in the past, but who could have brought her to life? Maxwell Lord was in prison . . . maybe . . . Lex?
Mon-El looked at Supergirl, the glint of playfulness in his eyes gone, "Maybe if we overload them with kryptonite and lead respectively . . . "
"They would be strengthened. I've faced Bizarro-Supergirl before."
Kara looked on, and all of a sudden, Bizarro-Supergirl delivered Bizarro-Valor a punch, sending him flying. It seems that feelings are also reversed.
"Let's let them fight it out."
"And let them destroy the city?"
Mon-El flew to her. "I'm not gonna listen to you . . . not this time."
"Mon-El! That's a bad idea!"
He ignored her, flying to a nearby area as Kara observed him. As he disappeared, Kara decided to separate them.
At least, divert their attention on her.
She flew in between the duo and they instantly glared at her. This was a new Bizarro-Kara, for sure. One at a time, they flew towards Kara. Then, they punched. She dodged as they aimed. She glanced to the right, trying to find Mon-El in the city.
She received a punch and was knocked backwards with a huge force.
She changed her direction and began flying towards the clouds, the Bizarros on her tail.
She heard a sound and turned, and Mon-El appeared out of nowhere and flung a shard of kryptonite and a small lead spear at the two.
"Seriously? I said that it would strengthen them!"
"It won't be too bad . . . "
He was then struck with full force as Kara ducked.
"Mon-El! While you were off doing something that I told you not to do, I figured that the yellow sun gives us powers, and it would likely weaken them."
"Okay, fine. Let's go."
As they flew towards the sun, the two Bizarros followed them, stopping right before the clouds. Kara sighed, slightly disappointed.
A thought crossed her mind, and she blew the clouds away.
As the Bizarros fell to the ground, the D.E.O. was waiting there.

As Kara and Halk Kar finally finished setting up a romantic setting for dinner.
"So . . . so what do I do?"
"Just be yourself, Kara. Smile and maybe give him a hug first."
"Then, I pop the question?"
"Yeah. You told him to come, right?"
"Yeah. In one hour."
Kara looked at him. "Can I practice with you?"
An uncomfortable look crossed his face, and she understood. She had just rejected him and now she wanted to practice asking her love out.
She smiled and pulled him into a hug. Then she pulled back. "S-so, w-will you go out with me? Like . . . be my boyfriend?"
She looked at him, and winced at his awkward blush.
"S-sorry . . . "
"Seriously? What the heck is happening?"

Maybe Kara was about to apologise to him.
Maybe she was going to break the 'good news' to him.
But he still wanted to surprise her early. He still loved her.
The door was slightly ajar, and he knocked lightly before he pushed it open.
"S-so, w-will you go out with me? Like . . . be my boyfriend?"
"Seriously? What the heck is happening?"
