The area where Yozora and Kokushibo are located is covered in smoke. As some of the smoke cleared, the walls appeared to be torn down. Large amounts of rubble could be seen crashing to the ground.
The rubble that crashed onto the ground made a large tremor. As the smoke in the area cleared, two lone figures were seen standing as they each held a blade.
Both swordsmen had their blades stabbed into each other's shoulders. As they jumped back, more of their blood stained the ground. They both began to breath heavily as they fought for a long time and exerted lots of energy.
"You really are amazing......Michikatsu."
"Yozora Tsugikuni, i must ask you. Why do you call me by my human name?"
Suddenly Kokushibo dashed at Yozora as he swung his sword. With his crimson nichirin sword already in hand, Yozora quickly used his left hand to unsheathe his black nichirin sword and used both blades to block Kokushibo's attack.
"You were once human, right? Plus you taught me this breath style and even went as far as to isolate me from the others to fight me one on one for your own desire. If that isn't the definition of being human, then what is? The least i can do is show some respect by calling you the name you were given."
"I see. You truly are amazing, Yozora Tsugikuni. Then let us make this battle one that we will never forget."
The two swordsmen jumped back. As they did, Yozora sheathed his black nichirin sword as he held onto the crimson one instead. Kokushibo held the blade in his hand tightly. They have one objective...to defeat the person in front of them.
Soon Kokushibo and Yozora ran towards each other. They swung their blades swiftly through the air as the two swords clashed. Kokushibo jumped back as he was ready to attack.
"Breath of the Moon, Sixth Form: Perpetual Night, Lonely Moon - Incessant!!!!"
Kokushibo releases a wild storm of slashes in multiple directions. As the attack was launched, Yozora took a deep breath and focused.
"Breath of the Moon, Seventh Form:Mirror of Misfortune - Moonlit!"
Yozora swings his sword in a powerful frontal slash that then creates a multi directional frontal assault, powerful enough to create several deep gouges in the ground. As the two attacks collide, multiple crescent blades were flying through the air.
The two swordsman charged at each other and swung their blades with all the strength they could muster. Yozora soon kicks Kokushibo in his gut and and tries to decapitate him, but the demon grabbed his wrist and threw him at a wall.
"Breath of the Moon, Fourteenth Form:Catastrophe - Tenman Crescent Moon!!!!!!"
Kokushibo swings his sword and creates a chaotic vortex of powerful omni-directional slashes that destroys whatever is caught up within its attack radius. Seeing this, Yozora quickly launched an attack of his own.
"Breath of the Moon, Fifth Form:Moon Spirit Calamitous Eddy!!!!!!"
Yozora makes multiple curved slashes layered over one another, resembling a rising vortex. Numerous chaotic blades originate from these slashes. As the two attacks collided, the area where Kokushibo and Yozora are fighting starts to fall apart.
Soon the floor beneath Yozora and Kokishibo started to crack. Before they knew it, the two swordsmen fell through a giant hole in the floor as lots of rubble fell down with them.
However, this wasn't enough to stop them from their battle. Yozora and Kokushibo started hopping off the falling rubble and using them as platforms as they kept swinging their blades at each other.
"Michikatsu......i'll defeat you here!!!!"
"A battle with someone who shares the same blood as I. Only this time, both sides are giving it their all. Why....why does seeing Yozora at this level of strength bring me such joy?"
They soon moved faster and faster. The sound of swords clashing could be heard through each passing second. Sparks flew in the air as their blades collided. Soon the rubble all crashed down onto the ground of a new area. However, Yozora and Kokushibo's attention was only on their fight.
Yozora and Kokushibo soon crossed blades again. They were both breathing heavily as they were starting to get exhausted. However, Yozora still had a couple of tricks up his sleeve.
"Focus......focus my ki onto my blade. Condense all the crescent blades in my breath style into one attack. Focus it all on a single point, in one small area of my arm."
Kokushibo could tell that both Yozora and himself were reaching their limit. As he swung his blade, Yozora counters the strike with his own sword and kicks him away.
"Yozora.........it would seem we are both at our limit. We both know we can't waste time and yet......why? Why do i not want to end this fight? Why do i want this fight to last forever?"
"Michikatsu.......you're my enemy. However, its thanks to you i got this far. Its thanks to you, i learned the Breath of the Moon. Its thanks to you that i survived to meet Onui and Muramasa. You helped me start on my journey, so its natural that you want see just how much i changed and grew stronger."
"Heh. I thought i abandoned my humanity, but then you just had to bring it to the surface. Fine then, show me. Show me your journey and suffering hasn't been for nothing! Show me the potential that i saw on that day. This last attack will decide it all, Yozora Tsugikuni!!!!!!"
"Fine then, i'll show you just how much your Breath Style has evolved as well as how much i've grown since the last fight!!!!!!"
Kokushibo charged at Yozora with immense speed. As for Yozora, he looked at Kokushibo as his body was transparent. Not only that, he was using his ability to sense ki to its limit as he concentrated his ki around his arm. Soon Yozora came to a sudden halt as he unleashed his attack.
"Breath of the Moon, Twenty-First Form........."
One second. All it takes is one second to change the times of battle. Kokushibo felt no pain, he didn't even feel the urge to scream. As he looked at Yozora, he saw that Yozora had thrusted his sword forward. As the Upper Moon looked down, he simply smiled as he said one thing.
"It would seem.....this is my lost."
"Breath of the Moon, Twenty-First Form:Sudden Death."
"Farewell......and thank you......my teacher."
The student and teacher both fought to their absolute limit. Both student and teacher evolved during this final battle of theirs. Both student and teacher knew......that it was time to say goodbye. The battle of the moons has reached a conclusion.
Time remaining until Yhwach's arrival.......five minutes.
