"I've got a bad feeling about this, Sam."

Sam rolled his eyes. "Dean, we can trust Rowena."

"It's not Rowena I'm worried about!" the oldest Winchester exclaimed. "This is Michael, Sam. We're the Winchesters. I'm pretty sure he's not gonna forget the guys who trapped him in this cage." Dean glanced at Rowena, who was using a similar cage to the one that they used to summon Lucifer.

The witch finished the final ward and stepped back to where Sam and Dean were waiting. "Alright boys," she began. "Are you ready?" They nodded, and she began the spell. (A/N: I'm too lazy to look up the spell she used lol so I'm just gonna skip to the fun stuff) As she finished the incantation and threw the last ingredient into the mixture, the contents of her bowl burst into flames, and the Winchester's half-brother, Adam, appeared in the cage.

Dean crossed his arms. "Michael."

'Adam's' eyes glowed. "Sword," he snapped.

"Don't call me that."

Sam stepped in front of his brother. "Michael, we need to talk to you about your son, Lucas."

That caught the archangel off guard. "How do you know about Lucas?" he spat.

"A demon killed his family. Castiel recognized the kid's aura."

"And where is he now?" Michael asked slowly.

Dean snapped, "Lucas is at our bunker. With his cousin. Jack."

Michael leapt forward against the bars of the cage, and the warding flared. "That blasphemous thing should not be allowed to be within a hundred miles of my son! Have you forgotten that he's the son of Lucifer?" the archangel bellowed.

Castiel finally brought up their main topic. "Michael. We need you to unlock your son's powers."

The archangel scoffed, stepping back into the center of the cage. "And why should I do that?"

"Well, you said it yourself," Dean smirked. "There are lots of 'blasphemous things' in the world. You did happen to miss the return of your auntie Amara. And, of course, your dear old dad. They both left again, but you also missed the Leviathans. Oh, and how could I have forgotten, your 'sword,' as you so fondly call me, was turned into a demon, cured, and then possessed by you from another reality. The world is changing, becoming more dangerous. And your son is gonna need his powers to survive in it."

Michael chuckled, "Oh please. I know you just want to use my son as your own personal attack dog."

"Michael, a demon almost killed Lucas," Castiel said. "And you know that there are much worse things out there. Perhaps when Lucas was born, it was safer for him to not have any powers, but Dean is right. The world has changed in the years since you've been gone."

As Michael contemplated that, what was most likely seconds felt like weeks. Until eventually he spoke. "Very well," he said reluctantly. "But seeing as you weren't smart enough to bring Lucas with you, you'll have to do it yourselves. If you have something to write with, I'll give you the incantation." Rowena pulled a pen and notepad from her purse and tossed them into the cage, where Michael scribbled something down and tossed the objects back out. "When he's asleep, put holy oil on his throat and recite that."

Dean examined the spell on the paper. "Seriously? That's it?"

"An angel needs to do it, but otherwise, yes."

After they left and sent Michael back to the real Cage, Dean grumbled, "This is probably a trick."

"I know," came Sam's reply.

As they all piled into the Impala, Cas sighed, "Don't be upset with me for saying this, but from what I could tell, I think Michael really does care about his son."

The Winchesters didn't respond.

In an attempt to break the silence, Rowena reviewed the incantation Michael gave them and announced, "The spell seems fairly simple. I believe the most difficult part is simply not to wake the boy."

Sam and Dean exchanged a glance. If this worked, they might gain someone who could keep Jack under control, considering the situation with his soul. On the other hand, they would have another extremely powerful nephilim to keep track of.
